  1. "The Glory Days of the Lounge"?
  2. ^ This 'witch hunt' is in your head. All i have done is express frustration and annoyance at the situation. I was angry at last nights antics. end of.
  3. As a foot note: could all those who empathise with said traveller please forward their addresses So I might be able to advise him to move onto to your more welcoming streets?
  4. I have just posted an update in the lounge re this situation. Maybe RS hasn't quite got a grasp on how she comes across posting on here. But here point i believe is valid. It is now 3.30am and loud parties going on and smell of weed and people pissing against garden walls.... Oh and i should pop over there and say hello cause maybe they're actually ok??!! FFS, I don't want to say hello. Secondly i am being kept awake by niose/ fumes- both drugs and petrol/ oh and folk pissing outside against our wall. Great. All those who think i'm being an un-charitable, daily mail reading, wa87er. Please forward me your address, i shall send him round to your house where he'll clearly have a better welcoming.

  6. Senor Chevalier, you may be right but It's now 3.20am and i don't care what their reason for staying here is. Seems to be a rocking little party going on in and out of the van. Spliff being smoked outside, and pissing on wheels. Loud music resonating from the van walls.... For sure i'm still not happy and yes maybe i'm a wimp for not confronting this as you all suggest. (it's really not my style, it's also very late and i'm not sure i could relate to this person anyway. again sorry for not meeting your standards) I will give this a few more days, then i call the police. This seems to be the fair solution IMHO It is not my job to resolve issues like this. I shall report and leave to the authorities to decide on the correct response. I trust my conclusion meets forum approval given the circumstances.
  7. Sure, rocking a vehicle is aggressive, but I didn't suggest it. Just liked Jimmyraj's post & sensible (and humorous) attitude to the situation.

  9. ^ Willard, sorry, but i'm really not interested in their 'story' nor do i wish to befriend them. If that makes me a bad person, then tough! @ Jimmyraj - Thank you. Well said!
  10. Minkey - That's what i had initially thought. But really don't think so now, after some serious curtain twitching
  11. Is it essential to be Christian these days?
  12. To be fair to Rubyshoes i've noted a concern in another thread about this as well. My main problem is merely engine running all evening with noise and fumes outside my front door. Also the uncertainty of not knowing how long this may continue. In response to dv1, i believe it is also illegal.
  13. @MM Like what you did there! I hear what you're saying though. I'll see how long they stick around for if still here next week for sure i'll maybe try that.
  14. Lol, you been *restricted* from the wider audience... :) I have seen the thread, it seems to be causing a stir on the other side.
  15. @ Townleygreen That's as i would have hoped/thought. @MM Surely if illegal, it's simply a matter for the local police?
  16. Someone has recently parked up their rather large Merc camper-van and apparently decided to make an end of Rodwell Road their new home. (I believe they were previously parked up on Jennings Road?) Of course i'm not overly happy about this for several reasons like engine running most evenings outside the house (fumes & noise) I'm also wandering where they deposit their waste (both sorts!)They're also taking up quite a bit of road space in that they also have a car. bla bla grumpy old man! but hey. So, I'm just curious as to the legalities of this? that's all really. Kind on nervous that this may turn into some long term settling!
  17. From the highway Code: 20mph Speed Limit The 20mph speed limit is predominately used in urban areas. Commonly you will see them in town centres, high streets, residential roads and in the vicinity of schools. The aim of this limit is to reduce vehicle speeds that allows for the presence of vulnerable road users; cyclists, children and the elderly. More often than not a 20mph speed limit will come in the form of a ?zone?.A zone will contain traffic calming features, usually road humps that force drivers to reduce their speed to around 20mph. Research on the effectiveness of these zones has shown that casualties can fall by up to 70% where they have been introduced.
  18. Sounds a brilliant adventure. I rode the train from Barcelona to Alicante many years ago (like London to Glasgow i recall) Pretty decent and a good adventure. long journey for you though, down to Cordoba!? Jealous :)
  19. I'm confused, it would appear that there was no mugging on Crystal Palace Road? There are two threads on what i gather is the same mugging...
  20. ^ What route were you thinking of taking emilou? Might be an easier start point. We might then be able to talk you round good/ bad points etc..
  21. ^ *Bob* best post on this thread so far :D
  22. You love it really...admit it Scribbles. Why else would you keep coming back spouting the rubbish that you do. If you were older than 12yrs you'd have the Intelligence to ignore this. You'd also be playing with grown up guns and not little cap guns and crossbows. You act like a complete twat and you are hideously rude.
