  1. Seems to be but who wouldn't want a manager who got you to be the no1 ranked team in Europe Have to say his transfers up until last year had many more positives than negatives, reina, Torres, alonso, mascherano, Garcia, sissoko, crouch, agger all quality in my eyes his real problem was he didnt have funds to go straight out and buy proven class was always trading up year on year eg Bellamy sold to fund Torres where as we should have held onto him. He tried to sell Alonso to fund Barry which never happened and it came back and bit his arse 12 months later. I'll be the first to admit he's bought some stinkers eg babel but who hasn't? Veron for 28m springs to mind. his man management may need tweaking but I can't help thinking if he didn't have the two cowboys trying every underhand way of replacing him behind his back last year would have been a whole lot different.
  2. We all know that cyberspace can take over our lives and fill our brains with rubbish we will never need (will smith can't swim) but now and again I stumble upon things by chance that really should be shared Vertical veg Any more?
  3. I am one of many who want Rafa back 'home' one thing I would like to see though. He got a good payoff from us and will get the same from Inter, would like him to work his first year for free and use what money that would have cost to add to transfers.
  4. I install AV for a living and have put some of the most expensive kit possible in peoples houses and I am yet to find any system as easy to use. If you have an iPad or iPod you can download free controller software and yen won't need to buy their controllers. Only thing I don't recommend is their own speakers. Drop me a Pm if you are interested and I may be able to get you a discount
  5. Harry Enfield, Vera Lynne, Eamonn Holmes, the Queen
  6. I didn't say you were advocating panic buying, when the weather is bad large lorries tend to jacknife so it's sensible to keep them off the road. You mentioned margate which really has very little relevance to my shopping needs if I have to pop out for milk I'll usually nip to broadstairs
  7. I see the government are temporarily relaxing the rules on the maximum number of hours HGV drivers can work so that they can deliver 'vital supplies' great idea, lorry drivers driving tired in bad weather and the dark just so little johnny can get his toy story three DVD in time for christmas. Everyone knows that the winters are getting harsher. Unless your extremely hard up there no excuse not to stock up on vitals is there.
  8. as oxtail is beef I imagine the oxtail stock maybe beef with tomato flavouring? The other thing is how long ago did you last have the pie? could be the changing of your tastebuds over time
  9. Couldn't you just use oxtail soup and reduce it down?

  14. Another thing that can help a lot is a portable dehumidifier, by removing the cold water from the air your heatingt will work more efficiently
  15. Makes cordon and horne look funny. Actually I take that back, carry on
  16. Got to say this thread makes me more than a little depressed. How could we possibly have kids from the local area playing sport in a huge green space less than thirty meters from it's gate. Nine hundred kids means how many doing sports at ny one time, ninety? So some will be swimming or doing indoor sports are we saying forty or fifty kids couldn't be in the park for a couple of hours twice a day. Surely the cost of buses alone would cover any maintenance costs to pitches etc. I would have thought the park ideal for cross country etc. DJKQ what does "the rest of the park is just that, a park NOT a sports ground" actually mean, what exactly are we allowed to do in a park if we go by your rules?
  17. dont want to piss in your bonfire scarlet. Full HD means nothing other than the resolution its capable of no guarantee of quality. Why settle for 47inch when you can have 100+ and I am yet to see an LCD that matches the best plasmas.
  18. Hi Louisiana I have a company that installs home cinemas and Huguenot is correct about the black levels, though in my mind nothing beats a big projected image for watching films. The main thing about ambient light is the light reflecting onto the wall you are projecting onto this will also be affected by the brightness of the projector and the colour of the walls in the room. A pure white room will reflect a lot of light back onto your projecting surface. It also helps if the wall you are projecting onto is darker than white (light to mid grey is best) I personally think turning the lights low all adds to the immersive experience. Another thing to think about is noise from the projector as they have fans to cool the lamp some people find it distracting though the newer projectors are a lot quieter. Also I suggest you avoid LCD projectors these are ideally suited for office use and tend to look less natural for video. I have an old projector at home that we use for watching films, it's not HD but works pretty well for family use, you are welcolme to try it at home for an evening if you want?

Oh hold on. I guess at the end of the day it's none of our business unless they get up to something that can lead to blackmail etc

Parc Guell is amazing If you like design bits n bobs visit the shop Vincon I'd avoid the majority of La Ramblas other that the market and if your on it at night hold onto your purse/wallet
  24. I am currently doing a job for one of the wealthiest men in the world. The items available to him are only limited by his imagination, so what is always kept on hand for his daily treat, the rarest caviar? finest champagne? Monkey heads on sticks? No - Tuc cheese sandwich biscuits. So what would it be?
