  1. Hi Elaine I've not been down to the shop as I've had son and his pushchair lately but every time I've been past there a;ways seems a good vibe wafting out! Is it just records you sell or CDs too? I don't know about everyone else on here but I've got stack I don't listen too any more plus a load of music mags would be happy to swap for a few free entries??
  2. I would try giving broadbandbuyer.co.uk a ring and find a router that will allow you to restrict bandwith to each user which means you wont get one person using a disproportionate slice of your download speed. I have installed a lot of wireless kit over the years and find that D-link tend to have the easiest units to set up whatever you buy make sure you download the latest firmware I find that so many products are rushed out these days with bugs in them
  3. you should try these www.mocksnouts.com 'A tasty and ethical alternative to real pig snouts, the finest organic root vegetables diced, shaped and baked in a hand cranked solar oven, glazed with honey crafted by bisexual buddhist bees with nostrils lovingly poked out with a Linda McCartney vegan pepperami'
  4. I have put a shout out for Sweary Mary, I don't know how I would have lived much of my adult life without 'pissy knickered cocksucker' in my arsenal
  5. moody and sankey - hanky panky
  6. Wolf Blass Eaglehawk perhaps?

  8. anyone been, worth going to the imax to see it or should I stick with the Ritzy?
  9. From what I have read HD on freeview will require a different type of freeview tuner, whether it's built in to the TV or not. if your HD ready TV has built in tuner you still have the option to plug in a new tuner box (providing you can cable between the two.
  10. I remember Meatloaf saying how he used to get bored in interviews and make things up to see how the story grew from paper to paper etc, the best one was that he was doing a tour with Pavarotti (which was true) but the Paverotti stopped talking to him because Meatloaf used his hairdryer without asking him. The whole drugged by woman in bar waking up in bath of ice in morning to find one of your kidneys gone is one I've heard many times
  11. It's always parked in our road Henslowe never seen the person who owns it would love to find out why???

It's funny you should say that, I've had the same experience of cards dropped without a knock and guess what happened last week. I was expecting a parcel and got a card through the door with the wrong address on it (a house in Peckham with house number and street in no way similar to mine) so it got me wondering if the postman fills in the slip when you don't answer the door how could the address possibly be wrong? unless of course they fill in the slip before they go out knowing they are not going to deliver the parcel???
  13. Looks like the Uplands is the place to start drinking if you want to avaoid hysterical nutters then

  16. 4HW I don't think you are being very fair on them the whole idea of the half price bookings was to allow their staff training allowing them to bed in before they open up properly, there's a number of restaurants bars etc that have opened up at full price (Chandelier springing to mind) who obviously had staff who had no idea what they were doing. I think the spirit of the half price offer was to give them the benefit of the doubt?
  17. I bought organic seedless grapes last year and they had been impregnated with organic seeds to conform with new EU regulation EC-4150 (pips in the workplace) I unknowingly swallowed over 47 of these seeds and now suffer from 'vinyard knob' which can be very distressing on summer holidays.
  18. Oh the irony Just had a friend from my old flat drop off a letter that was delivered there this week DATED 29th FEB! It's warning me I must pay within 21 days (hmmmm difficult one that) ?155.00 for unpaid parking ticket on Coldharbour lane I've been racking my brains and I couldn't work out when I got a ticket there, then I realised the date of the ticket was January 2007 the day my son was born, we couldn't get into the hospital carpark so I fiulled the meter to it's limit but only got back out to the car about half an hour after the ticket had expired. I had written a note in the car telling the warden that my girlfriend was giving birth in the hospital and left the ward telephone number and my name on display in the car but they chose to ignore it. I sent ticket and a letter to Lambeth at the time, this is the first I have heard from them shows you what pricks they are
  19. that's not strictly true, the council hands over the debt and the enforcement company is meant to follow a strict set of stages to enforce the debt. Southwark council in my experience don't give a flying f**k what happens once the debt has been passed on, there's plenty online about this and questions asked in parliment about a case in ED involving an MPs daughter
  20. that's the thing they don't have to send anything recorded delivery so their standard response was 'we can't be responsible for the royal mail' they are supposed to send letter then visit, the thing is it's not in their interests for you to pay on time, the fees they are allowed to charge for these first letters/visits are minimal, it's only when they take items/clamp you that they get any real return. As I said get an itemised breakdown of their claim for the ?650 it's a scary business and the bullying tactics must work many times as people don't know what they are allowed to charge. There should be a law that makes them send info out recorded delivery (they should be allowed to claim this from the person fined) and also a standard leaflet indicating charges and escalations of them

  22. Thats the ones, check out a few bailiff websites they feature a lot, I had the same trouble for a parking ticket that I thought I'd paid they said they had sent letters which they hadn't first thing to do is get a breakdown from them of the what the amount they paid you consisted of, there's all sort of rules and regulations they should carry out. Letters to be issued etc etc they have to visit you to try to get payment before clamping cars etc. I had a knightmare with them, we had a newborn baby and their thuggish guys lied through their teeth about what they had or hadn't done, in the end I got Tessa Jowell involved and she got onto Southwark who seemed to be part of the same corrupt gang as the bailiffs and she sorted it out for us I know for a fact she had other cases on file about the underhand tactics they use good luck, if I can be of any more help PM me
  23. the bailiffs wouldn't be JBL would they?
  24. I second Hoa Viet - just close your eyes if you are going to use the toilet there
