  1. You're opening a can of worms by mentioning 'safety'. It's all relative. Anyway, I'd recommend the SE15 Nunhead side of Peckham Rye Park! A 10 min walk to Nunhead Station (unless you're closer...!) or Peckham Rye about 15 mins.
  2. I pray this works.... Ho ho ho It's 4oD last night's programme Sunday 28th June about the Alpha Course. It was interesting, but more for the sort of people who went, rather than the predictable ones who ran it. I am not a NLP expert (tho I'd go on a course if there was one available), but was there any NLP in this programme? I am sure Mr Ronson would have spotted it. Anyway, er, 'enjoy'! Next week it's Muslims.
  3. Channel Four Jon Ronson 7pm Sunday 28th June 2009. Watch it on 4oD.
  4. They appeared to be heading for the north end of Peckham Rye Park says MrPR.
  5. Do none of you read my posts? Indeed the vibration to local houses will reduce if the bumps are not there when the lorries from the waterworks lorries thunders by.
  6. Nice work, matthew123. Anyway, any blood?
  7. It has 'flat' bumps because the Morrison lorries from the depot requested them to be deflated apparently, till their work is done, then they'll be reflated and the traffic lights taken away.......... and there's that flyin' pig again! I live round the corner from Colyton on Peckham Rye SE15 side. It is a FABULOUS place to live and the park is spectacularly achingly beautiful and is actually my front garden, but I'll let you wonder round it if you don't nick the plants!
  8. > alachlan Wrote: > I'm sure it gives an opportunity to people who > work at Kings to be there during their lunch hour Errr nurses and doctors rarely HAVE lunch hourse. But it will be nice to see the managers, managers' managers, administrators and so on there. I'll be there if I can.
  9. I'm a Member of Kings College Hospital Foundation Trust and have been sent postcards to fill out about this and send off, to her. So I have. What does SMB Jones have to say about this - he must have an opinion one way or another!
  10. The Park is BEAUTIFUL. We are SO LUCKY to have this park. I always thank the worker/gardeners when I see them. This is my front garden you're all in, by the way! I'm in the third floor flat! Pic just taken on mobile in sun so couldn't quite see what I was looking at, but not bad....!
  11. On the east side of the lake, sorry 'pond', there are two benches by the proper seats, that were the lintels / tops of the 'Girls' and 'Boys' entrances to the old school, and they look so good being sat on by older girls and boys! An imaginative idea to re-use them thus. Would be amazed to see those being carried off, but sadly would not be surprised!
  12. On the way back from Clockhouse last night we saw the sad gaps in the displays in the Oval gardens where once there were geraniums. Geraniums are a couple of quid. They probably nicked ten quids' worth. So sad.
  13. oooh ow come you is vipped giggirl?
  14. The Nunhead and Peckham Rye Police Ward Panels meet every 3 months at Harris Girls Academy, 7.00pm. The next one is Thursday 3rd September. Might be a good idea to email your local police or safer neighbourhood thingy and ask them if your road is in this area, or another one. If another one, then find out when that ward panel is and let everyone else on here know it too!
  15. I'm lovely.
  16. But this IS serious stuff in the long run, because the culprit was identified, we know where he lives, and so the police's hard work is done. All they need to do is keep their promises and get the bike and arrest the thief. If they can't do THAT, we can have little faith in them. Check out The Police Pledge - see if they have broken it - it has nothing to do with furniture polish, promise. Go to the police station and make an official complaint and show how it has broken (if it has) that pledge.
  17. I Do, Too. When it is a title.
  18. This is so dreadful. We do need to watch out for this, as I remember hearing a few years ago that the culprits are often terribly nice ladies from Dulwich who consider that as rate payers the plants belong to them anyway. But we shall all be village-ant...
  19. Go to the next Police Ward Panel for your area with the print out of this rant, and demand an explanation. This is ridiculous and awful and my heart goes out to you.
  20. When you have ridden a motorcycle, and a tank, and taken sheep across a bridge, landed a helicopter on Goose Green, then you'll be an all rounder. When Exhibition Road does it's number getting rid of all lines signs and people start paying attention on the road and pavement amalgamation, I think Southwark Council should get on the case and nominate Lordship Lane for experiment number two.
  21. If you have say ?3m to spend but find a house for ?2m on the 'better' road, could I have the difference please?
  22. I am glad this worked out well but - well, it could have gone the other way if someone ELSE had just seen those keys and nicked them hoping to find a car they worked on.
  23. You lot worry me. The offer is off. It was genuine. Byeee
  24. This is shocking - or could be. I mean, did the head look cut off or torn off. If torn off as in run over by a car, that's bad enough, but if 'cut' off, should the police / RSPCA be involved? This has quite upset me!
