  1. Well you never know what is going to happen. So if you think someone will care if you don't come home, how would you like me (or any first aider) to find out how to contact your next of kin or best mate or someone, should I find you collapsed in the street or in an accident. Work it out, then sort it out. Just In Case!
  2. You can report it. If you are willing to stand up in court (because it could come to that) you should report it to environment department with your photo evidence and/or the dog owner's car registration number. They council's environment department really are serious about it.
  3. I was teaching medics the other day and many of them knew of and had their ICE* on their mobiles. Most doctors and nurses can't do First Aid. But some can and many of us can and have trained and re-train regularly. So I want you to imagine this for a moment. You're in a crash and you can't talk. How am I going to find out who I should call for you, after I have called an ambulance. Answer: I find your mobile and look up ICE. In Case of Emergency. (then the number) Do it now. Just type ICE, then the number. Thank you.
  4. So are you going along to discuss the issues if you're able to?
  5. PGC if you bring spam and pickle I'm supplying a loaf or two. So you can make the sarnies!
  6. Ditto. They're services. Please don't 'lose' them in that section.
  7. Your choice of GP practice: a consultation on how to enable to register with the GP practice of their choice. I got this through being on a Patient Involvement email list. So for those of you who rightly complain about your GP practices in East Dulwich, read the thing and go to the meeting to discuss it.
  8. BT Vision did a similar thing. When they phoned and told me my annual contract was coming to an end I said ok I'll resubscribe for less money and they took about a tenner off I think. We Have The Power.
  9. BY THE WAY - and I'll post it in the What's On Section - the Community Council meet is Monday 21st June 7pm Mary Magdalene school 48 Brayards Road SE15. So go along and tell 'em.
  10. There's a Community Council meeting Wednesday, why don't you all go and ask the councillors what is going on?
  11. Peckham Rye Park, and I'll make the lovely loaves of bread but I won't make sarnies out of them.
  12. And I just pass the 'gym'. As quickly as possible. But not quick enough to make it look like I'm exercising... Some things should definitely be done in the privacy of one's home. Lifting the cat is my exercise. She's porking it a bit.
  13. On BT Vision you can connect to the BT Hub via a cable or via special wire free plugs that talk to each other. Works well, either way. We watch some TV shows or films via that method, or listen to radio through it. Hope this helps.
  14. It's fabulous and a lot of us often congregate there for to see the New Year's fireworks or 5 November fireworks from all over the town!
  15. DJKQ one does not have a footie mad husband.
  16. Am so sorry to read this and no, not all doctor's surgeries treeat their patients with such disrespect. Ask if there is a patient forum at the surgery and join it. Southwark PCT people often attend. And if all else fails, when you are allowed to choose surgeries outside your immediate area, come to Nunhead Grove Surgery on Nunhead Grove, in... Nunhead! They insist on keeping their 020 number AND using real people to answer the phones. And I am on their patient forum and they're brilliant.
  17. But I'm not a wine bar kinda gal. I'm a pub kinda gal!
  18. Why go to Dulwich for a blood test? I have to have them and have appointments made for Kings and rarely have to wait longer than half an hour, including fasting tests.
  19. I think it would be a great thing, mainly because I speak English. I think we should only have one currency too!
  20. When I get work doing what I trained to do and love as an actor, it is nothing but pleasure which is why so many of us will do it for free. When I get work doing humanist funeral celebrant work, it is an honour - the money is less than hourly wage so I certainly don't do it for the money. When I am doing my other occasional work which means I get to go round all of London on my motorcycle, the work itself is not so much fun but the motorcycling and seeing so much of different corners of all of London is brilliant. Let's see - what else do I do for work - oh that'll do for now. Being self employed does have its advantages!
  21. Yeah! The originals! Not their sons who gigged about 10 years ago either!
  22. Osmonds, I think, though it may have been David Essex. And RosieH you're still cool. And I never was and hope never to be!
