A good question. Another question leading on from it is - I know my Dad should not be driving, but without a car he and my Mum would be stuffed. I know he never goes far but do I 'tell' on him? Were any of the websites DVLA suggested any use?

I also have not seen any Tory window stickers round here, or had anyone from their party round here. Or LibDems either. Labour lot came round and I asked them a heap of questions of things that concern me (free prescriptions - GBrown had said he would!) and they said all the 'right' things. Oh Christ I have no choice.

Back to topic, I assume he didn't mean football. I consider myself Socialist side of left, so feel very let down by all parties. A very nice leaflet was pushed through my door yesterday featuring a 20 yr old student who is running for the Workers Socialist Party. I was very tempted to consider until I read through and was appalled at the atrocious spelling and several contradictions within the leaflet. Now I'm stuffed!

KirstyH what a great book! MrPR was a flying instructor (gliders) and used to bore me silly with cloud watching till when we were biking round New Zealand I suddenly 'got it' and realised just what different type of clouds meant. Wave clouds are a glider's best friend and there are plenty in NZ but have seen them form over Peckham Rye too! Meanwhile, saw another Goldcrest. And six parakeets hassled the new tenant squirrel of the tree-hole yesterday. Dead funny to watch. I think they were hoping to nab that recently vacated tree-hole for themselves, but there is a neighbourhood squirrel watch programme round here all the squirrels have signed up to it and the top one of the list went in pretty quickly.

Very sad. I hope Sue finds out what happened to the Ulverscroft Road lady.

I do, too. I check the loo and then look for the electric socket to plug the laptop into. I am so technoreliant. Maybe I'll look at the view 2nd or 3rd.

Why don't you hook up with a local care home? Take it there each morning. Old folk in care homes love dogs - those that aren't allergic. There's an organisation for pets as therapy, possibly and probably called PetTherapy or something.... Just an idea.

I can not think of anything that can be done about this problem; more legislation is not an answer. Otherwise have everyone who offers something for free/very cheap make a note of those who took it, then give that info to the EDF Boss, and let him make a note. When someone has had ten items for free/cheap then they are banned from getting anything else. See? Ridiculous.

I have benefitted from several free things over the years and also very cheap stuff from this forum. I am always mighty grateful but aware I have had to be quick! However, I usually also bring EDF currency (wine) and sometimes a loaf of bread from the breadmaker I got for ?20 which I could have ebayed for loads! We are not all bad. Some of us genuinely can't afford much. I am mighty grateful for all I have had off this site. Don't tar everyone with the same brush (I know you weren't, but ---!)

I am surprised at you MM. The video at the end makes it clear it's pro LibDems. I thought it was a great video by the way, but if LibDems have been so active in Peckham as they have been, how come they have not got rid of the cameras / CCTVs they appear to despise in the film? Or am I missing something? Not had me lunch yet!
