  1. I like maps and the weather and have been following the Live Lightning / Thunderstorms across Europe and the U.K. I was suprised to notice for the first time that Great Yarmouth was further north than Coventy and Birmingham. and Aberdeen being further north than Coppenhagen and level with Nothern Denmark. Thats amazing.. Foxy.
  2. In 1951, six countries founded the European Coal and Steel Community, and later, in 1957, the European Economic Community and the European Atomic Energy Community: Belgium Germany France Italy Luxembourg the Netherlands A further 22 countries have since joined the EU, including a historic expansion in 2004 marking the re-unification of Europe after decades of division: The UK joined in 1973 4 more countries including Turkey are seeking to join.. Ironically I have concidered living permantly in Turkey for several years.. and with Turkey joining, that would of made things much easier.. with the referendum on whether to remain or leave and myself coming down on the side of the leave. Quite a conundrum .. The problem is that many of the current members are having severe financial problems with other countries footing the bill. With more countries joining and businesses having unlimited access to cheap labour. (those happy to work for the minimal wage ) All these legal mirants will have access to Housing, Schools, NHS hosptals which will put additional burden on these already stricken facilities.. It isn't going to get any better if we Stay. DulwichFox
  3. It certainly would seem to be The Euros.. ..All pubs showing the Football are rammed.. There is bound to be much drinking and excitement. ..same as when the Rugby was on.. I haven't been to The Castle for years.. On a previous visit I fell through the floor on the way to the loos.. The old carpet was covering a hole in the floorboards. Proper pub back in those days.. :) Foxy.
  4. I do not wish to hi-jack this important thread as you have done so as far as your comments are concerned the matter is closed. DF.

Do you > have to dump all your negativity on this forum, > all the time? I asked how the dog was lost.. I asked Where were you when you lost him. ? And I asked Would he not be able to find his way home. I think these would be the questions the police might ask in an attempt to find out what has become of this valuable pet. So stop being an idiot bashing The Fox for the sake of it. These were genuine questions. I suspected such a valuable dog might of been stolen. If people have an idea where the dog was last seen it may jog someones memory. Do you understand.. ? DF
  6. Mary On occassion people drive .. have 1 drink.. or stick to soft drinks.. and still share the bill. Just to clarify.. We only split the bill + tips in the restaurant.. We pay for our own drinks in the pub pre-meal / post meal. and you do not need to come to the pub. Some people meet in the restaurant. We share some dishes.. like rice .. naan bread.. side dishes.. Popadoms .. Everyone just tucks in. We get 1 bill for the night in the restaurant. It has all the starters, mains, side dishes, bread, drinks. Michael P. then works out the bill after adding an appropriate tip and divides it amongst those present. That's how it has been for 8 years Curry Club has been going. DulwichFox
  7. How did you manage to lose a husky. ? Aren't they rather large. ? Where were you when you lost him. ? Would he not be able to find his way home. ? DulwichFox
  8. Calling them 'Penthouses' is a bit of an over statement.. A small steel framed box on the roof of a super market / offices does not IMHO constitute a Penthouse. DulwichFox

People who have voted are viewing it to see how the vote is going. Once you have voted you will get that message.. DulwichFox

  12. P.D. Your name does not appear in the mini league.. Foxy
  13. Soft drinks in some of the restaurants are similarly priced to a small beer. I once paid ?3.70 for a bottle of mineral water where a small beer was ?3.95. People have different starters / no starters ... Veggie curries / King Prawn ... Naan bread / no bread and we often share food. You get to eat what you want and we share the bill.. It works and we never have any problems.. Foxy

What are you saying James.. Are you encouraging folk to as you put it .. 'Have some fun' ? I disapprove of their blatant advertising even though I am a Delmar Glazier client. DulwichFox
  15. I had France to win 3 - 1 close.. Foxy
  16. I remember a time when men worked all week and would bring home their wages and give them to their wives.. She would give him back some 'Pocket Money' for Beer and Baccy. and manage the home finances with the rest.. This may well of founded the idea of the E.E.C. and the E.U. The E.U suggests we are not capable of managing our own finances.. Stuff the E.U. I'm OUT DulwichFox
  17. Great picture.. ..But these creatures really freak me out as do most beetles.. Foxy
  18. Six of us including DVMummy our newest 'member' enjoyed a splendid meal at Jaflong last night after pre meal drinks in The EDT. Having to bring our own beer / wine did not pose a problem. Food arrived promptly and was exceptionally good. I think we would all agree. Foxy
  19. It's odd because I seem to remember as a small child seated in the seats around the parade ground 1957 ish.. watching T.T.C. ..but seating is very restricted and I wonder if that would of been possible. and is it possible these days? I would of thought it would be only available to dignitaries and invitation. ? DulwichFox

I'm not sure if the Air Ambulance operates at night in the London Area.. I think that only Police Helicopters operate at night over built up areas.. Note.. Air ambulance night flights are set to begin. The East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) has expanded its service to include flying to emergencies during the night. DulwichFox
  24. If Windows 10 keeps trying to install automatically .. Here's how to stop iy doing so. Tap on the Windows-key on the keyboard, type programs and features, and hit enter. This opens the list of software installed on the system. Switch to "view installed updates" on the left side of the window. If you are using Windows 7, locate the following updates: 3035583, 2952664, 3021917 If you are using Windows 8, locate the following updates: 3035583, 2976978 Right-click one update after the other and select uninstall from the context menu. Select Restart Later when the prompt appears and remove all updates first from the system. Once done, restart the computer to complete the process. Once you are done, it is important that you block these updates from being found and installed again by Windows Update. If you don't do this and have automatic updates enabled, they may be installed again on the system. To block these updates, do the following: Tap on the Windows-key, type Windows Update, and hit enter. This should open the Windows Update dialog. Select "check for updates" to find new updates to install on the system. Windows should find the updates listed above again. Click on the "important update is available" link. Right-click each of the listed updates above that are listed on the page and select hide update from the context menu. This blocks the update from being installed on the system. This does work if you complete the process. DulwichFox
