How do we save them without having them listed. I'm not at all familiar with such regulations. DulwichFox

  16. My original post was just to highlight that 17-19 were used to produce French Fries.. I was just astonished. The thing that amazes me is from some of the replies here, indicates that people do not seem to care or show any level of concern for what's in their food, whilst at the same time ranting and raving in other threads about restaurants that are selling Organic produce and their willingness to pay through the nose for it.. Rape seed oil needs to be modified before cross breeding Canola oil is developed from the rapeseed plant, which is part of the mustard family of plants. These oils have long been used for industrial purposes (in candles, lipsticks, soaps, inks, lubricants, and biofuels). It?s an industrial oil, not a food. Rapeseed oil is the source behind mustard gas, and on its own it causes emphysema, respiratory distress, anemia, constipation, irritability, and blindness. But through the beauty of genetic modification, we now sell it as an edible oil. The claim is that canola is safe to use because through modification it is no longer rapeseed but ?canola.? Except? canola is just genetically modified rapeseed. http://vanessaruns.com/2011/02/08/gmos-and-why-you-should-never-use-canola-oil/ DulwichFox

  21. Asset Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Canola oil IS Rapeseed oil NO It's Not... People often get confused about the difference between Canola Oil and Rapeseed Oil. These two plant-based cooking oils, however, are different. Here?s the scoop on both. Why They Get Mixed-Up: The Origin of Canola Both canola and rapeseed belong to the cabbage or mustard family. The plants' flowers both have that characteristic bright yellow colour, and you get oil from both of the seeds by crushing the plants. That said, they have a couple key genetic differences. Canola was created through plant-breeding in order to get rid of two undesirable components of rapeseed. Rapeseed oil and canola oil also get mixed up because they can be labeled incorrectly outside of Canada and the United States. What's the Difference Between Canola and Rapeseed Oils? In the 1970s canola was created through traditional plant cross-breeding by removing two things found in the rapeseed plant: glucosinolates and erucic acid. Erucic acid was removed because it was believed to be inedible or toxic in high doses. The newly developed plant was renamed "canola" ? a combination of "Canadian" and "Oil" (or ola) to make this difference apparent. By definition, if a seed is labeled "canola" it has to have less than 30 micromoles of glucosinolates and less than 2% of erucic acid. Yilmaz used to make their own Lamb D?ner and the preparation could be seen. They were mainly made from Lamb Shoulder. The Lamb D?ner in Hisar Mangal are hand made.. Kebab & Wine use brought in D?ner. But they also have a Chicken D?ner. Do not know about K?z.. The term D?ner comes from the Turkish Verb D?nmek, To Turn.. so a turning kebab. DulwichFoz
