Sue.. How on earth did you set your router up in the first place... Http://192.168.2.1 will normally take you to your router... Then you will need to enter Username / Password. on a new router where you have not changed either Username :- password Password :- admin You may need to refer to your Router Documentation. Then just go to WAN Settings and check it is set to PPPoE PPPoE (Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet) PPPoA(Point-to-Point Protocol over ATM) PPPoA is for Static IP addresses which you do not have. Like I said earlier I had this problem Constantly having to reset my router 10 times a day. I changed my WAN Connection Type from PPPoA to PPPoE and the problem has ceased. Might have to reset once or twice a week. But that is quite normal. Just check your WAN Settings on your Router. They may of changed if you at sometime did a hard reset on your router. Usually a button on the back of your device or sometimes a small hole where you insert a paper clip / pin . Foxy

  7. Cars travelling at 20mph will be closer together and take longer to pass through. This means greater Traffic density and more pollution.. DulwichFox
  8. Hi Aquarius Take a look at the back of your appliances. There will be a label which will tell you the wattage. If you are unsure, Use 2 Extension leads (if you have a double wall socket) Then you will not overload either of them. but you should not have any problems. If your wiring is up to date then the Ring Main will be able to handle that. After all people have Fridges, Freezers, Kettles, Toasters plugged in to a ring main (breakfast Time) Why has this situation occurred. Is this a temporary situation. Are you rearranging your kitchen. ??? Foxy
  9. Yes same thing
  10. And always use a isolator trip when using any power tools Foxy
  11. If your extension lead is long And wound on a drum it should be fully unwound Like if you are using it in the garden for Lawn mowers or hedge cutters
  12. Those things do not consume much power I'm out at the moment so not easy To cut and paste link If you Google Wattage of domestic appliances You will get a list. Computer / monitor / printer / modem / phone All safe on one extension lead Just don't plug kettles and toasters into same extension lead Foxy
  13. Basically Your Extension lead plug should be fitted with a 13 amp Fuse. This equates to 3,000 watts. (3KWt) Total Load. A typical Fridge Freezer is 500 Watts. So you can plug 2 Fridge Freezers into an extension lead. 1kw. DulwichFox

  16. Not sure The Great Exhibition needs a Quiz. They obviously feel the need to bring in more custom. I go to the pub to have a few beers and a natter. Not to sit there in silence listening to some TWOT prattling on reading questions from Great Pub Quizzes Vol. 98. Question 67. What is the value of the Green Ball in Snooker...............? 18. The Grove Tavern has a massive car park. This was fine in the 50s-60s-70s when attitudes to drinking and driving and indeed laws were different. The Grove was always a driving destination. As a Harvester the food was dreadful. They tried Quizzes, always the last resort of a failing pub business. But Quizzes bring in crowds who simply buy one drink, sit there all night and then leave when the Quiz is over. Cannot see it ever opening up as a pub again. DulwichFox

  21. The guys at B&Q are particularly nasty. On one occasion whilst I was sitting in my car a Security Guard with a large Dog approached them and told them to leave. About 20 of these guys confronted the Security Man and seemed unperturbed by the dog. It was only when " Police vans turned up that most of the guys disappeared into thin air. Even then with a dozen or so Police also with dogs and the presence of an over head helicopter they continued to argue. I drove off at this time.. You really don't want to invite this mob into your homes.. DulwichFox
  22. I was under the impression you had to have your wheels on the lines to get a ticket. ...SO could you park your car with its wheels either side of the lines. ??? DulwichFox
