New Year Fat Attack 14.7 to 12.7 in two months ...
DulwichFox replied to Mick Mac's topic in The Lounge
It is important to realise that in general eating Fat does not make you Fat. Carbohydrates that are not burnt off makes you Fat. Foods like bread contain high levels of Carbs. and even with Low GI breads you still have to burn off those carbs. http://examine.com/faq/how-are-carbohydrates-converted-into-fat-deposits.html It is also important to remain hydrated to help maintain muscle and help digest the food you eat. Then exercise will become easier and you can lose weight naturally whilst still eating as normal. No need to starve yourself. DulwichFox -
Meeting new people in Dulwich
DulwichFox replied to Tootsmonkey's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hi Tootsmonkey.. There is indeed a Curry Club. It celebrated it's 8th Anniversary in Jan 2015. We generally meet on the first Thursday of each month and go to one of the many local Indian restaurants. We usually meet a pub near to the Restaurant an hour or so before we eat which is usually at 8.00pm. Numbers vary but at our last meeting last Thursday we had 12 people and went to The Curry Cabin. Its not actually a club as such. There is no membership and anyone / everyone is welcome to along. It would be lovely to see you there. More unusually perhaps, they also took pictures of the Vauxhall bus station, which Matzka regards as "modern sculpture". But the tourists have said they had to return home to Vienna without their holiday pictures after two policemen forced them to delete the photographs from their cameras in the name of preventing terrorism. http://www.theguardian.com/uk/2009/apr/16/police-delete-tourist-photos You cannot take Photos of Railway Stations / Bus Stations. in the name of preventing terrorism. I was stopped Taking Pictures of Borough Market and told to move on or face arrest. Circa 2007 DulwichFox

Iceland. I was told by one staff member over a year ago that they could expect 3 months notice of any closure / take-over. I've no idea if that still stands and that staff member has since left. I love Iceland. ?1.00 for many branded products costing up to double that elsewhere. I suppose there are those amongst us that will take a spare M&S / Waitrose bag to avoid any embarrassment when shopping there. and wear dark glasses to avoid being recognised. :) DulwichFox

I do not want my bin smelling of Dog Poo and attracting Flies. My front garden is tiny and the bins are right outside my window. DulwichFox

Rolf Harris is paying the price for His crimes.. One day he will be released. 'Having served His Time' Can't see him being invited back to the Glastonbury Stage. or topping the bill at the London Palladium. Same applies. DulwichFox

Shooting on Film whether B&W or Colour is Expensive. Usually limited to 36 exposures and relying on the light available on the day.. I would be tempted to use a Digital Camera and take 100's of pics noting locations and return there at a later date when the light may be more favourable. Serious Photography requires a lot of patience especially when using Film. DulwichFox

POOP TO AVOID COMPOSTING: Because domestic house pets (like dogs and cats) are carnivorous by nature, their poop should NOT be added to a compost pile. Human poop also (even if someone is a vegetarian!) should never be added to a compost bin or pile. Both dogs and cats have organisms in their stomachs and can also have diseases in their poop that are harmful to the composting process and plant life, and ultimately humans. These diseases can get into the plants you eat, and should not be digested. Human poop can carry pathogens, diseases and organisms that can be extremely harmful. http://www.compostinstructions.com/poop-or-no-poop/ DulwichFox

There is no place for a convicted Rapist in Sport. Considering the amount of Women that now attend Football Matches. (Not that it would be OK if was a total male domain) There was a convicted rapist in an away team that came to Millwall. He got a very bad reception from male Millwall supporters. And if a woman is drunk then its wrong to take advantage. Which he did. A woman being drunk actually puts Me right off. He should not be signed. It would send the wrong message about the club and it's manager. DulwichFox

Ulverscoft is bad, but probably no worse than other Roads . I've confronted dog owners who have allowed their dog to foul the pavement directly outside my gate only to have a barrage of abuse thrown at me. There was a spate where dog owners picking up their dog's Poo and putting it in Green bins instead of the Doggie Poo Bins provided. Not nice. DulwichFox
