  2. People who were poor at spelling:- Alfred Mosher Butts -- Creator of Scrabble Game John Keats. Jane Austen. Albert Einstein Winston Churchill Leonardo Da Vinci Agatha Christie John F. Kennedy Jr. Benjamin Franklin. People with something more important to say may well be more concerned about content than spelling. Poor spelling could well be a sign of Genius. Perhaps some people here should be more concerned with content and worry less about spelling. Especially criticizing other peoples spelling Foxy

  5. iTunes certainly can cause this problem.. As can Roxio creator. Do you have these instaled. I had the same problem. When I inserted an Audio CD a strange window popped up with no title. It would then randomly play tunes from iTunes. Having Googled your prob. was resolved fot one guy by un-installing iTunes. May have nothing to do with your prob. Do not play CD's regularly but tried again after reading your thread. All seems ok at the mo. Fox.
  6. Tried the survey.. Traditional Working Class.. As I am Retired did the test again adding what I used to earn.. Come out Elite. Likely to go to galleries and the opera Even when I did not tick those boxes.. This is not the Full Survey (5 Questions). The full survey takes 20 mins and you have to get a BBC ID and register. Foxy

  10. Isn't it supposed to be Lucky to Tread in Dog Poo. EG. You are walking along the Pavement and intend to cross the road. You tread in some Poo and stop to scrape your shoe.. A speeding motorist flies past.... Had you stepped off the Pavement it would most certainly have hit you... Positve Thinking... Never complain about Dog Poo Again. It could save your life. Foxy

  13. Yes.. You don't actually need to own land to apply for planning permission for it. This means you can apply for permission before deciding whether or not to buy a piece of land. http://www.planningportal.gov.uk/planning/applications/howtoapply/whocanapply Fox

  19. Chancellor George Gideon Oliver Osborne's Budgie.. Who's pretty boy.. Did not catch the Budgie's name... Does a 1p off the price of a pint mean it will go down by 20p in the local pubs. ? It normally goes up 20p when 1p is added. Fox.

The Wishing Well was great pub in the early days.. It's decline arose from people 'Like Myself' staying away because the area became unsafe at night. Due to poor lighting and general neglect from the local authorities. The Victoria was just an other Capital Inns pub like The Bishop & The Actress and the other 50 or so pubs it then owned. Now mostly in the Hands of Greene King a Multi National. Hardly a New Local Business. There area has gone through several phases in the last 50-60 years. You seem to only go back 5 Years. Foxy.

That's right... I think If I was Prime Minister/Mayor I would Rule the Country / London my the mood I was in when I woke up in the morning. One day might exercise strong Right wing views. Ban Unions Next day might take a Left wing stance..make Unions Compulsary. Might Scrap the congestion Charge only to reinstate it unannounced. Remove all traffic signs but retain all restrictions.. Reverse all/some of the one way systems. Make parking free then paint new yellow lines once people have left their car there. Have to keep people on their toes.. As for.. I think that was neglect by the Local Council, not the community. Fox.
  23. [rant] The real problem with 4x4's is that the people that buy them do not know how to Drive them.. Whereas in most situations 2 normal sized cars can pass with a little bit of care... ...4x4 drivers do not seem to realise that they are the problem when coming face to face with on coming vehicles. They need to hold back (Show Courtesy) as in most cases they seem incapable of reversing out of the situation. ..OR.... too stubborn to do so.. [/end_rant]
  24. KidKruger Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I'd be up for blade carriers being banged-up > straight away, but the prisons just cannot cope so > that'll never happen. The Prisons cannot cope because many of the people there should not be there... People who cannot pay their Council Tax.. or default on some other payment.. Parking Fines... So.. Knife carriers go free.. Fox.
  25. LondonLogCo Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Our leave the slum as is > > Sell bacon rolls for 80p > > Watch as the places slides slowly into the mire. NO... By All means Open a new Cafe.. Sell food at a price that Local People (Community) can afford. Not a Yuppie Hut that attracts hoardes of outsiders that clutter up the area with their 4x4's and jeeps.. Do something for the existing community. Do not try and create a up market Ghetto that excludes folk that have lived there all their life. Fox.
