  1. Can I clarify that most of the gentlemen living in Dulwich are indeed lovely gentlemen, it is just the selected few 'exotic' men who work etc in Dulwich that ruin it for us naive innocent fresh faced sweet lovely Dulwich ladies? To think I was born in Dulwich Hospital and Dulwich used to be SOOOO lovely...now I have to avoid certain shops in order to avoid some ogling pervs. I miss the Dulwich of old! But then I miss Wham Bars and spring onion walkers crisps also. Nothing stays the same.

Gosh, I rarely post in the Lounge, I should be in the family room not in here!

  5. Last year my best friends and myself went to a restaurant in Lewisham, they all have babies, and one of them changed her daughters' nappy on the seat and was going to leave the nappy there! She got a right telling off from all of us! We were absolutely shocked that she would do that and think that it is ok, but I must admit she is pretty out of touch with reality! Got to say there were no baby changing toilets but she could have done it on her knees or something and attempting to leave the nappy behind was just taking the pee! I am pleased to say that she is much better behaved in public now!

I don't want to go back in, I just want to live on a deserted island with all the people I like , that would include Wentworth Miller, Jonathan Meyers and Jensen Ackles and a lifetime of decent wine....is that too much to ask for?
  7. Just watch out for me, come August I will be having one of those big bright prams! I apologise for anyones' ankles I might crash into, but got to do some posing with the pram!:)) and I PROMISE not to stop the pram in the middle of the pavement to chat about flexi tots nappies with my friend!
  8. I can confirm she is NOT a troll and I know who the person she is referring to is because she has told me although I have never met the man because I do not go in that place, and I can confirm there are other pervy businessmen and staff in Dulwich who I have encountered personally and I am not a troll but naturally I am not emotionally involved with ANY of them and I have never dated ANY of them, I just think they should learn to stop hassling us womanfolks.

I have no problems with that, I am usually very poite and talk to everyone who talks to me, and I hope if they did ask me out and I refused they would not take it personally instead of trying to wear me down and talk me into going out with them! ( yes, happens to lots of women sadly!). Most women would be flattered to be chatted up and I do think it would be good if more men took control and asked ladies out but as I said, time and place and also the ones who don't give up should learn to take the hint and move on. I just need someone I actually LIKE and FANCY to ask me out instead of old pervs, rude boys and married men!

Jay, I think it would help if he were actually SINGLE and wanted to get to know the lady other than just having sex ( because he is married) to get most girls numbers, there are ways of going about it. I am sure most of us do not mind being chatted up but there are ways of doing it. With places likes shops, restaurants etc you have to make sure that the person is interested in you before jumping in and asking for a number and then constantly hassle the person everytime they have to enter the establishment otherwise you risk losing a customer. Usually it is pretty obvious if two people have an attraction for each other.

I ask my men out!:)) girl power!

HAHAHAHA! I like Barry , he is really lovely, and he never flirts with me, but one of his locals did and he is REALLY OLD, and I am only young. (whimper).

Do women have sex > with a man just because he smiles at her in a > shop? *sighs - wasn't like that when I was a gel* Flick was just saying not only is he is married and has kids, but to also be careful because he has an STD, so she is not saying it is his fault the girl has an STD because it takes two to do the horizontal dance but expressing the fact that be careful because he is misleading girls into believing he is single and interested in them and all he wants is to get his leg over and is not fussed about the use of a condom either! Most girls if they fancy someone is going to be pretty flattered to be asked out by the object of their desires and will find no reason to believe he is married if he is stating he is single and up for a relationship. Its a sad day in Dulwich when you have to second guess someone who asks you out on a date!

That is the issue here, they insist they are single but of course being as Dulwich is a closed knitted community most of us know via other shopkeepers/locals/friends/family etc that this is not the case and they are in fact married and have kids, and it makes it worse when you find out not only have they chatted you up but also your family members and friends! And I also dislike it when I cannot pop to a local shop because they think it is ok to flirt, well it is not! I just want to buy my goods and go and not be asked for my number, if I have a man etc. Ahh, I have been to the Bishop a fair few times and no one has disrespected me there, I expect them to because they are usually drunk, I don't expect that from a staff or businessman.
  19. Dulwich has many people working here with a lot of love to share!:)) I try to avoid the majority of the places that they spread their big love!

  21. Oh no, that means my driving lesson will be cancelled AGAIN! It was cancelled Monday and today. Rebooked for Monday. Luckily my scan can go ahead this afternoon since my stairs are clear and my midwife appointment is on Saturday morning, hopefully the sleet on Friday won't be too bad that I will have to cancel my saturday appointment. This weather is great if you don't have to do anything but a bit of a pain if things are constantly cancelled and you have to get out and about. Beside it is does not look too pretty with slush and rain!
  22. Finally got post today, yay!
  23. The Teddy bear is in Daily Mail also.
  24. Nothing for me or my neighbours on Lordship lane for three days.
  25. Just be very very careful out there, a huge chunk of ice/snow just dropped off my roof onto the neighbours roof and then onto the ground! Was quite scary because it made such a loud noise that the people at the bus stop across the road were looking to see where the noise came from! I am so glad I was not out there putting the recycle things into the bins, I'll think I'll stay indoors! My pavement is a death trap, lots and lots of black ice and on the road which everyone crosses to get to the bus stop. I don't have salt or sand:(
