beaver... a little suggestion perhaps... whilst it's nice to keep passengers in the loop this way remember there are some things you are not really meant to share with the public or those outside of your company.

I think my point is being missed entirely and I no longer wish to explain it. No it's not excepting that anyone is in the right over someone else just the moment has past and by pulling something apart as much as this has lost it's original, if slightly confusing (to some), meaning.
-
how would you get that from what I said? Put simply no body "should" do anything. The freedom to choose to listen or nor is that of the individual and not for someone else to say what "should" or "should" not say... Am I making myself clear yet?
-
Fine... I found your "Conversation should be a dialogue with people prepared to listen and adapt an argument accordingly." comment quite contradictory in itself and surprised you came out with such rubbish. Happy now?
-
Haha racist? really? do those claiming to be "effected" know the meaning? ::o "racism" (I know it's Wiki but hey ho...) To the original poster - I don't recall reading anywhere on this forum ANYONE saying "I have purple/green/red etc coloured skin and I'm better than anyone else who is not the same as me" So how can the forum be racist? Are you not bringing racist views in to the forum unnecessarily? Sorry, I know the aim of such comments and threads (by suggesting, based on no facts what so ever, forumites are racist) is to instigate arguments and such but really things like that really get me (6) *Edited to make points directed at the correct people more clearer

Surely that would be besides the point DM ;-)

I could come up with many stories... some true... some not ;-) -
4000+ a day what? I assume you mean users. I wasn't referring to that at all. Have a thought... Possibly the select few whom have drifted away; or spoil the fun for others by creating an unfriendly atmosphere (either by picking on others, being offensive, even the untied clique moving together - as some people think -),domination by regulars, some who threaten to leave creating so much hassle that new people would question what kind of forum this is etc; select few who make the forum move forward; the select few who don't like the forum yet still join in, nose around...; the select few who have created friendships beyond the forum... the list goes on. Expressing ones self through words/text/what have you is can often be taken the wrong way. I detect a defensive grumble from your good self Sean in response to me picking up on your own loosely put comments... lets play fair now (no really there's no need to prove me wrong) Again as expressed, ones interpretation can be very different from what one individual really means.
-
Oh come off it Sean there's more to the EDF than the "select" few (please feel free to read that how you like) I was certainly NOT misquoting you. As I said it was interpretation... NEXT! Wuv you really! :)-D

A 436 with an upper deck and a conductor? What year was this? You walked on such a badly swollen ankle from Peckham to Lewisham? Tut tut -
I feel very out of place here... didn't realise it was socially unacceptable in ED to wear such smells :-| I assume this applies to girlies too? Is it also wrong to breathe in such smells and think it quite pleasant? Obviously the more subtly applied of course. To be used in excess is certainly an attempt to cover something (as with most other sprays etc.) *wonders off mumbling something about stuck up snoots that choose to reside on her turf (not the grass type ta!)*

"should listen and adapt" where's the freedom in that eh? As already covered (oh the irony) topics come and go and come again and again and get a little tiring for some. I don't think people disappear entirely. many choose to sit back and watch. Those that do disappear I'm sure pop back once in a blue moon for a peek. Sorry didn't mean to divert the topic... :s
