  2. Indeed, Disneyland Paris is lovely for the kids - I am shocked that I loved the place so very much - I really wanted to hate it. I love the fresh air in Cornwall any time of year. All of the fresh air wears the poppets out and they are happy in their wellies in a rock pool with a net and a bucket to play with any time of year. The thing I love about the resort I mentioned is that the food is so nice, and they run a kids club so that you can have a nice glass of wine and lovely mealy in the evenings - like you did pre-munchkins! Padstow is like Lordship Lane-on-Sea, lovely coffee shops, and perfect Rick Stein fish and chips. There is even a White Stuff!
  3. Cheesy puffs and onion ring type crisps from Sommerfield...
  4. OHMYGOD! I am off for an emergency pedicure and then for a lie down (with a bottle of Chablis - I am weak with horror!).
  5. I watched a great show before Christmas in the USA called "The biggest Looser" about people trying to loose weight at a boot camp - I lost an entire day of my life, eating cheesey puffs and drinking Bud Light. I came home half a stone heavier - I had a great time! The should make lots more shows just like that one over here... Car crash TV, you can't beat it.
  6. What in the name of God is a BOBFOC? OK, I am in fact a retired brickie from Penge (RBfP)- but inside (very deep inside) I am simply divine and incredibly girlie... Aren't we all dear heart?
  7. I really quite like Oil of Olay - but don't tell anyone, I actually would not go anywhere without my Eve Lom...
  8. I look just like Liz Hurley - but with the face of Cilla Battersby...
  9. I thought that I was feeling sad before - and now you mention Batdog! OHMYGOD... Crawls under the duvet with a box of Bendicks Bittermints and a bottle of gin...(wails - not Wales obviously)
  10. Thank you Blinder999, although I think that you will find that any buggy worth pushing up the lane costs at least ?600, and what is a hachoir? Er... actually, I think that you will find that we would never give birth to more than two children - one must consider one's pelvic floor sweetie!
  11. OHMYGOD! I am depressed Mr Popadopalopagus - not dying. Pass me some gin...
  12. Dear Ceebeebee, This resort has rooms perfect for kids this age. They have two sleeping areas separated by a curtain, and it is in the most beautiful part of Cornwall. You can take your tiny people to rock pools with nets looking for crabs and fish, a lovely harbour and fresh air and sunshine. There is lovely childrens food, warm swimming pools and kids clubs are perfectly timed so that you can have a meal in peace while the children are happily playing not far away. There are no delays in airports and the childrens ears will not pop when the plane is landing. It is not at all a cheap alternative to going abroad, but when our children were little - I just couldn't bear the idea of foreign holidays. Sands is really lovely when your children are young...
  13. Whimpers beneath enormous Hungarian goose down duvet...
  14. I know Tillie, but indeed, I have visited The Livesey of late, and it is in need of major refurbishment. Indeed, it smells of cabbage. They should be spending money on The Livesey not closing it!
  15. Ah go on, let me in. I am a minority - or something. You see me all the time on Lordship Lane. You know it would not be the same in Ed if it were not for me in my Audi Q7!
  16. I want to be on your special picture... but I am IT illiterate! I think that my circle would be baby blue (my fav colour), and it would be studded with The Cheese Block, Hope and Greenwood, Dr Boo, Stella B and Ed. Also in there would be - annual bonus greater than the GDP of an average South American Country, selection of un-environmentally friendly vehicles, children at independent schools, violin lessons and home the size of Tate Modern in WEST DULWICH. Clearly it would hover above all of the other circles...(sigh)

  18. Thanks PGC profusely, but is in such a state of nervous exhaustion cannot move mouth... Smiles at Mr Palaeologus as he pops a straw into bottle of Schnapps, thinks to self - "lets get loaded".
  19. You really are too kind ...(sob).
  20. Oh darling Hayesgrover, here, have a tissue. I feel so very saaaaaaaad.............. wail................... Whispers "is my mascara running?"
  21. I think that this is a great loss, they did lovely croissants, but I think a great independent ice cream parlour would be a complete bonus to North Cross Road, I saw one recently in Beckenham and I think it would be just as popular and quirkey as Hope and Greenwood!
  22. Waaaaaaaail..................... (not in the manner of a cat or a pained animal you understand)
  23. Staggers into the quiet room and collapses onto chair - an exhausted emotional wreck...(sigh)
  24. Lovely KalamityKel, Perhaps it is because we are chums. Is it too early for a glass of wine? Have a sherbet bon bon...
  25. Oh darling Sean! You make me giggle like a school girl (which can be rather alarming for other people as I am in fact a 6ft retired brickie from Penge)...
