  3. most of the worlds present ills are caused by people googling things and declaring their new found expertise ( not aimed at you JohnL)
  4. just FYI, SRN on the posters/ site are a branch(maybe the trunk) of National Action. NA are proscribed now, so not supposed to exist. These are not the usual bigots, this lot are serious - if you see any more posters, get the coppers involved.
  5. diminished responsibility due to personality disorder IIRC . there were rumblings of other firearms issues after release but not sure why these did breach his extant licence conditions or were not raised for official review. different basket of fish to this case though

  7. in a thread of baseless hyperbole and red faced macho fury, it seemed rude not to stir it a little
  8. Burglars have more rights than the burgled these days - I know of one bloke who was sued by a burglar as the laptop he had stolen was not pat tested and gave him an electric shock when he tried to sell to cash converters. this is a 100% TRUE FACT. The pensioners should have knocked the arresting policemans' hat off as they are legally unable to arrest you if this happens. this is also a 100% TRUE FACT.

Can't you find something more productive to rage about ?

So what do you know of the incident that has not been released to the press already ? are you privy to inside information that we should know about?
  11. its like outdated class category top trumps on here these days
  12. You might want to edit the OP to remove your joined up thinking - it could affect any resultant case.
  13. Commercial properties are a whole different rental regime to household stuff & its has always been common for landlords to sit on vacant properties for long periods - this is not something that side of the industry is unused to. Small business may not be able to commit to the length of arrangement required , there are outfitting costs to be considered on short leases and possibly legacy or dark rent from the previous tenants may be in operation.

Nothing in this thread has a basis in anything remotely factual or independent, including the pretty shoddy OP survey
  15. Very strange, but i have seen a few cars in the area that have had the EU stars on the number plate hidden. Not very carefully either, some with random ripped bits of glued paper, others with a what looks like tippex or white pen scribbles. Anyone else noticed this ?
  16. why don't they just go and buy a house like everyone else?
  17. This also serves to divert attention from the unrolling horror of the brexit shambles .temporarily at least. may will be glad for the break and is making the most of her very short time in the sun. Its an ill wind etc
  18. does it matter?
  19. Surely it would be beneficial if parking dangerously - across dropped kerbs and suchlike -was actively enforced in the area, before imposing a blunt instrument of a CPZ? it is quite disgusting the way that ignorant people park and negatively impact those who need to use the dropped kerbs, not to mention the danger of blocking sight lines for other road users. I have yet to see a dangerously parked car ticketed
  20. How can you help? Take Q8 out of your survey or make it clear that people do not need to answer it.
  21. Me too Sue. You do not need to answer question 8, which in my opinion degrades a survey on attitudes to the prospect of a CPZ into a daft political action. How could you have been so dumb?
  22. Its kinda irrelvant now, as much as it may irk some - we do seem to have a politcal class who are obstinate in their need to hold onto power. Its not just the present government either, it is acrosss the board -they are all thick skinned enough to refuse to *do the right thing* when their actions are highlighted. What would have got you the boot a decade ot two ago is now just a minor irritation that should not be publicly countered and will be invariably be forgotten about by next week. And we wonder so many of the UK population voted for brexit, when it is plain to see that for many it was their one chance, their once in an lifetime opportunity to vent their utter frustration at a class, that do not seem to care about the electorate.I am still of the opinion that the the EU was a convenient fall guy ( rightly or wrongly ) for a disposessed population. Brexit isnt the end of this, its just the beginning
  23. lol survey- the lid dems really have no shame
  24. anyway, I am out of this thread for good. I have work to do, deals to close, fish to fry, dogs to walk. I trust that my input has been appreciated for its accuracy, if not for its delivery. Your obedient servant etc
