There's a huge camper van someone in Worlingham Rd leaves for months at a time, without apparently caring that it's blocking the light and taking up a space outside someone's front door for the whole winter. Legal doesn't mean considerate.
We only got rid of one that had been right outside our house for months (a newish BMW too) when the council re-did the surface of the road and towed cars away. So probably some-one else is cursing it now. I tried to get rid of it, but failed

Something on the news about setting up a container site of shops etc, like the one at the Elephant in a car park in Camberwell, couldn't work out where they meant but this could be it.
Is it me (yes, I know this opening is asking for trouble) but have the prices rocketed in the larger St C's? Perhaps because I've just come back from a cheaper part of the country, but the prices did seem to be a bit much today. New management?
There are two arguments here- Are these people, as individuals, worth their pay? Should any individual in any job be paid so much more than, let's say, the national average?
Yes, 2 hours does seem a long time. I think I spent about 25 minutes last time on a large shop, and that included apologising because I dropped and broke a bottle. (The staff were unfazed by this.) And I had time to get to the library and back well within time.
I didn't know the East Dulwich Soc. still existed, and I used to be the secretary years ago. I've got their banner(somewhere). I thought it had sort of imploded.
