Only just seen this. ???? Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Did you take the same stance on say all the > comments when Thatcher died out of interest? Totally agree with this!" And then "I don't want anyone to respect her if they don't want to, and I certainly wont expect them to stand with heads bowed. Celebrating though? No class." > Much of left wing social media is a putrid place too Couldn't agree more, but my mum has always told me that two wrongs don't make a right.

BFS is bent as a spring and should have been banned from the game as well as losing his England job.

Sainsburys etc no staff to bag up at checkout V poor effort imho

Jesus wept, have a word with yourself. You're paying for their food, not their service. Bag your own stuff, either at the counter, or chuck it back in the trolly and bag it up after playing. -

Thing is, attacks like this are becoming so common that we're all getting desensitised to them. That doesn't mean they're any less terrible, but what else is there to say? Whereas Farage is so blatantly being outrageous, it's right that people respond to it. We can't allow this sort of shit to become the new acceptable, and I genuinely believe we're moving that way.

Hi, have been meaning to try that. But usually end up taking kids to school in Sydenham then getting a 75/202.

I always think of this when I think of Lennon. "In 1967, John Lennon wrote a song called, ?All You Need is Love.? He also beat both of his wives, abandoned one of his children, verbally abused his gay Jewish manager with homophobic and anti-semitic slurs, and once had a camera crew film him lying naked in his bed for an entire day. Thirty-five years later, Trent Reznor from Nine Inch Nails wrote a song called ?Love is Not Enough.? Reznor, despite being famous for his shocking stage performances and his grotesque and disturbing videos, got clean from all drugs and alcohol, married one woman, had two children with her, and then cancelled entire albums and tours so that he could stay home and be a good husband and father. One of these two men had a clear and realistic understanding of love. One of them did not. One of these men idealized love as the solution to all of his problems. One of them did not. One of these men was probably a narcissistic asshole. One of them was not." As Jeremy says, he was undoubtedly a great songwriter, but other than that he was a cock.

Back when zones mattered to buses, zone 2 ended at Goose Green, so most of East Dulwich is actually zone 3. Not that that matters. Forest Hill, Sydenham, Penge all have the overground which is great. They really do need to sort t out. I recently changed jobs from Newham (overground, tube, DLR) to Lewisham (one bus). Thought it would be great journey wise, but I hate it. How I long for the queues at Canada Water as I sit in traffic crawling in to Catford.

Is there any kind of recording device you could set up to catch them? That does sound really bloody annoying.

It's nice to see that our Police force place such high value on grammar and good case recording. -

I'd be interested to see it. I bet it says there was a SUSPECTED attempted abduction. No one can possibly say with any certainty that it definitely was or wasn't. -

Zebedee Tring Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > FFS, when I used the word "attacked", I meant it > in the metaphorical sense of "criticised". That > should have been obvious from the context It was obvious. I disagree that she's been criticised to a level that could be described as an attack. People have questioned aspects of the story. If you're going to stick something like this on a public forum and get everyone scared, people are naturally going to question elements of the story. In my opinion this whole thread should never have been started, and it should have been left for police and local schools to decide how much to advertise things. But it was started, so people have a right to comment / question as they see fit. -

FFS, no one has "attacked" anyone. -

Dogkennelhillbilly Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Can we avoid forming an angry internet mob on > absolutely sod all information? The irony. Well yes, that's basically what we are saying. We don't know what this man was really about, neither do you. The police are aware (too late, but there you go), and parents are being told to be vigilant. But the fact remains that you have "absolutely sod all" proof that this was an attempted abduction. -

Jeremy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > While I agree that there are other plausible > explanations, to suggest that the nanny's story is > either inaccurate or untrue is, IMO, a bit out of > order... Just to be very clear, I was not intending to cast doubt on what anyone has said, which is why I purposely avoided the phrase "doesn't ring TRUE". I am sure it has been reported as the nanny saw it. All I am saying is that she may have got the wrong idea. And the law of averages suggests that the guy was more likely to be innocent than a kidnapper. -
Immigration Investigation Van (last Tuesday)
Otta replied to lavender27's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
If someone is overstaying on purpose, then I don't think it's wrong to call them an illegal immigrant, because the law says they should no longer be here.
