  1. Just wanted to chip in as the dad of one of these rugrats that the picture of the little gang from yesterday is fab
  2. Shopping on Sundays forced upon indigenous god fearing folk! You couldn't make it up etc.

  4. Jeremy - clearly you aren't looking hard enough
  5. I think one extra crossing sounds about right to me. Something is needed between Londis and Goose Green but it needs to be balanced with traffic flow. 2 or 3 crossings seems like overkill I think the junction outside the Bishop with East Dulwich Grove is a concern in and of itself, regardless of any other considerations. It?s at this junction I see the most dangerous driving and is the hardest to cross on foot. So I think if a new crossing could be used to temper/improve that junction it could be a double-win The spot outside the co-op might actually be the most convenient, but on balance I would favour the above
  6. Life isn't that bad if we can have a convo re: acceptability or otherwise of wearing a jumber with a hood, is it? If it hasn't got a logo on it, wear away I say If it has got a logo on it, there is a league table of names - the top 10 of which might find you accosted by me in the street. I'm looking at you A&C. Or Bench.
  7. Most Liverpool fans I know are happy to have lost at the weekend.
  8. I doubt money is the primary reason for O' Neill not taking the job now. Not wanting to work for the crass mob in charge has to be top of any intelligent managers list surely?
  9. not just ANY two ladies either you lucky git MP
  10. TT3 is a bit like silverfox No matter which side of a debate they reside on you hope against hope it?s not the same side as you
  11. I'm just going by the public support as shown by the posts on here. It at least supports my claim as far as it goes. I'm not sure what Fred has suoporting his Put it another way, the accusation Fred is making is more serious than mine, and he should have more to back it up. Ie an elected public body is ignoring the results of a consultation. When judging by most if the people I know AND looking at the posts on here it would appear there is significant support
  12. @sue. Judging by the posts on here. I'm sure a wider picture would show plenty either way. But Fred has no basis for saying the council doesn't listen
  13. FredRicketts It would appear that the council is listening to the public, the public want what you don't - or at least sufficient numbers of them So you might not like the changes but you can't claim the council isn't listening to the people
  14. it's the bit of the park with the chalk outline and a marble stone saying "Muggers please queue here" If you can't see it it could be because the muggers don't play fair and move around a bit
  15. Chener are doing more than just stocking issues - the front window display is dominated by TinTin at the moment - related to the thread?
  16. walk a differenet route to somewhere you go every day
  17. Not patronizing in any way. Not to mention wrong. Many of the 35000 maybe wrong but screeching anti capitalists is pretty offensive I would say. Not offensive in a "you can't say that" way. Just in a "speaks poorly of you" way
  18. I suspect there will be far fewer musical genii in the next couple of hours. Looks like a fair few ales were consumed. Not to mention many violations of jeremys law. (see about the forum section)

  21. Maybe there is a connection in life to paying attention to the details. Maybe education doesn't bring privilege but enhances the prospect of success. Maybe those willing to be educated (and anyone who went to school until the age of oooh 14 should know where to put an apostrophe) stand a better chance Or maybe it's easier to piss around in class and then complain when life doesn't treat you fairly
  22. TT3 - I'm not sure I'd be covering your back all the way on these arguments. I was merely pointing out a truism about Bob Crow's success. I haven't said I think that's entirely a good thing.
  23. I wasn't making a case for strikes, BA or otherwise. Just countering the point that was made that they are no longer relevant or succesful
