  1. " does not require the language of a corporate supply chain." not sure anyone needs the language of a corporate supply chains. And I include corporate supply chains in that
  2. is it YOU that has been giving him the glad eye LadyD?
  3. what? more than Flying Pig?
  4. Telegraph seconded - a great pub And if you are that far over may as well check out the reopened Monatgue Arms - in fact start there, and make way back via Telegraph and Skeehans
  5. how far do YOU think you'd get?
  6. Again, because of the profile, I don't think it's likely that non-victms will chance their arm Steveo Anyone "found out" would face quite a public backlash
  7. "The sheer number of people coming forward independently of each other" AS WELL AS independantly decribing how things happened I'm not dismissing the idea of people saying things for compo per se - but in this case, as Jeremy points out, the profile nature would likely have weeded such opportunism out
  8. Woolaston is unreadable The fluffy columnist thinsg found in most papers don't bother me much either way - a bit of whimsy can be a nice interlude. I think Mangan veered way into beigh territory for a few years but seems to be finding form again I like Dowling. Like his wife more tho
  9. because yewtree is a large, public process For years people like this have been abused and most importantly for people wondering "why now", not believed when they dared try and tell anyone But if you have that sort of history, only for a large public investigation come along, finally FINALLY you might feel someone wil lbelieve you now (if not now, when?) In the midst of this she saw Rolf doing the Royal Gala last year and that was a trigger apparently You can't get done for something like this on "balance of probability" (otherwise someone like rebekah brooks might not have been given a not guilty sentence) But maybe we should just do away with the jury system and ask what people on internet forums think instead
  10. Not just cynical steve but your actually starting to be insulting to people who have suffered plenty. You don't believe them that's up to you
  11. I think a large factor was the number of people who didn't know each other testifying very similar accounts of his "methods"
  12. "No we don't but I wanted to alert people living in the area. " sp post the update in the existing thread by having 3 or 4 threads about the same thing, those uninterested have little choice but to read some of it As for the whol should they./ shouldnt they debate (and the corollary should peole mind or not mind) it largely depends If they are looking for scraps then ultimately good luck to them and be thankful that isn't your life. if you don't want people rummaging around in your bins/property then fair enough,do what yuo have to but... But nor is it inconceivable that they are hunting for paperwork for ID fraud - it's happend to me and many others i know. So equally there may be ground for some caution
  13. I'm faaaairly sure lots of non-celebs get caught too It's the papers and some punters that are obsessed with celebs
  14. KK - I know you are having a rough patch and aren't been seeing as quickly as you want, but what makes you so certain cotors are wating time and not doing something equally valuable?
  15. gee Steve - I dunno Given how these peolpe were famous and used their power to abuse children, who finally came to testify having repeatedly seen them on TV, I suspect "ordinary" abusers will be caught (or escape) via other means Not sure what your real point is?
  16. I seem to remember they were previously described as east european - and now they are asian?
  17. I can build a picture from the various messy statements from him and his entourage over the last few days But if I was a gambling man, I would say his next club have ordered an apology as a precondition of joining them
  18. I didn't bite him. He was bitten tho A lot of poor apologising around
  19. Haha. He has said sorry for something he was involved in. He didn't say "I bit him and for that I'm sorry" We stepped on the pitch... One thing led to another.... So that legalese apology. Who is behind it. Legal team? Liverpool? Barcelona? Madrid?
  20. Seen Suarez apology http://twitter.com/luis16suarez/status/483659463417548800/photo/1 I know drafted by legal teams but still
  21. All good points Jeremy. But what bugs me most about the humane argument is how oblivious to the laws of multiplication it is
  22. Haha. Good point. I love the chutzpah tho
  23. Why do ageing rockstars get a pass Rising or legend. Sing the song or don't take the cheque
  24. There is every need to kill them. If everyone uses humane traps they we will be overrun. "Breed like mice". Helloooo Not sure what cats do to mice is preferable to a trap tho.
