  1. I'm beginning to think that Otta, Bob and EP can't play football. Nor do they understand the game. Perhaps this explain why they are hitting out. Last to be pick for football. Bullied at school.

Absolutely, afaik, I've not permanently injured any player. Nor have I ever received a yellow and red card. And only once did my manager criticised my tackling because I showed my studs in a tackle.
  3. Conversation on a football pitch. What an idiotic thing to say, *Bob*.
  4. Otta Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > You enjoy hurting your opponent with tackling? Are > you Roy Keane? Tackling is an important part of the game and so is psychology. The opposition respects you more by getting your tackles in early. I'm no Roy Keane but I never quite understood why some people refused to play on the same pitch as me.
  5. I scored but I get far more enjoyment from hurting the opposition. Either through my tackling or shooting with power.
  6. No. El Pibe, I was making a point that a scoreline isn't an indicator of a team's performance. My analysis on yesterday's game, based on information available at the time, wasn't wrong at all. Even if the game did turn out to be tight I'll be still questioning my analysis.
  7. I was very mature as a young child. I was able to bake and cook!
  8. A scoreline isn't always an indicator of performance. I remember when we beat another side 19 nil. Our coach was furious because we didn't perform to our best capability. We lost our shape as we were rushing to score goals.

It's off (again) Perhaps in don't any better logic terms but definitely not in football terms. Anyway Bob, how long do think you can keep your tirade before you give up? I think five years.
  10. Absolutey Jeremy. What Otta doesn't realise is that form, tactics, injuries and starting well have a huge bearing on a game.
  11. Consistency of speed is more important than maximum speed. My connection is 22MBs and I was having issues with dropped connections and stuttering content on Iplayer. Thankfully my connection is rock solid. Last night I fell asleep just after watching football and Iplayer was still streaming when I woke up this morning. So I'd carry out the following: 1) scan your machine for any spywares and virus 2) clear your browser cache 2) check if there are any technical matters with your connection 4) update flash (despite having a rock solid connection, last week my iplayer kept crashing and a latest update resolved my problem)
  12. @Otta From your limited view of the game, I'd imagine whatever I say is not going to make sense to you. But as I like talking about things such as tactics, quality of players and playing surfaces, then all of these are used for pre-match analysis. Am I wrong just because you don't understand the game? Perhaps I'm wrong because I don't understand don't know any better logic?

From a footballing point of view I was disappointed that it wasn't a tight game. I knew Spain was going to win within the first two minutes of watching the game. They just looked that much sharper and Italy looked a bit tired and probably carrying injuries.

Anyway, you may not know that Italy was a man short in the second half which led to four nil scoreline. Now for the people who really understands football. Spain was much sharper and incisive in their passes. Italy's midfield was smothered by the sheer number of Spanish midfielders and weren't able to deal with the situation tactically. Pirlo was closed down quickly. Jordi Alba was impressive with his deep runs.
  15. It'll be a tight game. It doesn't matter who wins, football will be the winner if that makes sense.
  16. Alan Medic Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I would say it's difficult to analyse something > that hasn't happened yet. I remember when Newcastle played Luton Town in a FA cup tie during the 90s. David Pleat, who was managing Luton, appeared on Andy Gray boot room show and he recorded his tactics ahead of the game. After the game, the show revealed David's tactics and level of analysis regarding pitch and players. So yes, you can conduct a pre-match analysis.

You've made no prediction as it didn't involve any analysis whatsoever. No kudos to you, I'm afraid, on the basis that you simply made a wild guess. 19. You can have a pre-match analysis too. It has been done countless times, especially by professionals. But then a novice like you just don't know any better.
  20. Sorry *Bob*, was this prediction buried in your in-depth analysis of the game concerned?
  21. Eddleston Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > It was a great surprise to see the german boys > play like that... but Neuer was a highlight, are > there any rules for him at all? He also happens to be a very capable penaly taker unlike some of the England players. As for germany playing badly, it wss more of the case where the Italians battled, closing down space and exploiting defensive weaknesses.

Please let us know how you navigated through the complex cooking instructions, the way you mastered the cooking appliance with finesse on cooking timings, and finally feeling a sense of smugness with your delightful creativity. Cor, how I so envy you.
  23. There are a couple of really interesting deli shops on Atlantic Road. The Chorizo sausage caught my eye when I looked through the meat by the Columbian butcher located in Brixton Village. Personally, I don't think there's much difference in Asian/West Indian food between Peckham and Brixton. Especially as Brixton locals are now shopping in Rye Lane as the choice is much wider. Deptford market have four far eastern food shops amongst the ethnic food shops. Worth a visit if you're cooking skills involves international flavouring.
  24. Not now. It's all over.
  25. Can you hear the germans sing?
