  1. I see Spurs drew with Wolves. As I said before, Spurs need to get themselves a quality striker.
  2. Sorry, I don't do idiot's logic. You don't have to be a premiership manager to understand football. My understanding of the game comes from playing alongside semi pros and receiving coaching which included a former premiership footballer.
  3. You don't know much about football, do you now Hugo? The main point Wenger was making is that the shifting of games to fit in with TV scheduling can influence the outcomes of games. With the increase of managers being sacked over recent years, the managers' priority is to get points. A manager wanting to be entertaining and failing to get points is likely to get sacked. This is the hash reality of football.
  4. Nero isn't too bad but I do prefer the independents though. I think Eats does the best coffee amongst the big chains. Starbucks only put one espresso shot in their coffee. Unlike Nero where they put two as standard.
  5. Sorry srisky, I've had no idea what gender you were. What avenue you decide to choose will depend entirely on your budget and IT needs. From my own experience, I've had a laptop that was constantly shutting down after 5/10 minutes of usage. I wasn't ready to buy a new one so I contacted a number of Engineers for repair quotes. Quotes were ?300 plus parts costs. It got really weird when one Engineer warned about rogue Engineers swapping good quality working components with poor ones. So in the end I repaired my own laptop by tracing the fault to the graphics card and cost of replacing this item was only ?95. Thus saving a small fortune.
  6. Next, M&S and Starbucks are all fine examples of big businesses catering for idiots.
  7. There some people who thinks that large chains are big because they must sell quality products. In reality big chains provides goods, minus the quality, that ticks all the boxes belonging to the idiots. Idiots have no idea about quality.
  8. srisk's pc had a long life and do agree a new drive and ram will further extend its life. However, with Windows 8 due in this Autumn then at some point Microsoft will cease support for his, I think, XP operating system.
  9. Perhaps, but unlikely in the cae of srisky bearing in mind his lack of computer expertise. Anyway, srisky has made a decision on what's best for him. It's a shame really as it's probably cheaper to buy a new hard drive to see whether that would fix the problem.
  10. No excuses either. Even with refs!

  12. If you exclude the first two games of the season then Spurs have shown better cnsistency then the two Manchester sides. If Spurs have aspirations to be champions then they will have to beat the two Manchester teams.
  13. You will find the answer in the poster's very first sentence on this thread.
  14. I'm not at all in favour in privatising the NHS but I do recognise the need for change as technology matures and changes in work practices. Part of the problem is that the organisation is a political football that does little to engage the staff. Personally, I think the NHS should adopt the John Lewis co-operative model where profits are ploughed back into the system. Privatisation is harmful to the NHS as more private companies becomes increasingly focus on their profit margin rather than looking after the patient's interest.
  15. It sound as though your current hard drive could well be faulty. Okay, boot the system again using the Operating System disk in the CD/DVD drive. Once done, back up any data you wish to keep assuming you're able to access them. Next conduct a clean installation of windows. If the problem persists then buy yourself a new drive.

  17. My feeling is that the NHS is being privatised through the back door but one step away from not being a chargeable service. The blog gave a number of interesting points. The current cosmetic surgery controversy highlights the fact that that some private medical service providers put their financial interests before the welfare of their patients.
  18. The private clinics have a moral duty to resolve PiPs and I'm shocked by their blame game tactics. They took the money from the women to perform the operations and yet offers no safeguards if anything goes wrong. Sorry but the private clinics do not deserve to be in business if their business plan does not cover risk management.
  19. @srisky, Your computer manual should have details on how to access BIOS and preferably use a keyboard with a PS/2 connection as USB ones tends to be unreliable. Do you hear beeps when you boot the system? If you can't see the BIOS screen then I suggest calling someone in to have a look at your system. Edited to add: Also stick your installation disk in your cd/dvd drive to see if your system would boot fromit.
  20. Tottenham now three points behind City and a three horse race.
  21. srisky Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > hard drive fires up and it attempts to access the > CD ROM that's in the drive but then gives up, Good information. The system is looking for windows hence the blank screen. Are you able to access the BIOS screen?

The area you're referring to is called Wood Dene estate which have no connection to the former North Peckham Estate. They're too far apart. Anyway, I've heard Notting Hill Housing have signed a contract in December to build housing.
  23. Jeremy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Multiplex Odeon, Pizza Express, Nandos, Waitrose, > multi-storey car park. > > Sorted. Doubt it will happen. For a start the area is poorly served by public transport. The area is mainly residential. The propposed development does not blend well into their surroundings. Far better to develop the Multiplex/car park building in Peckham to fit in with your suggestion.

  25. Very harsh and causes serious problems for Man City since I don't think they've got strength in depth in the central defence area. However, I wonder if Gareth Barry be willing to play in that position?
