  1. Just thought I would bounce this back up. 9 November - Forest Hill Tavern - 7.30ih onwards. Always a larf.
  2. As a ginga - steady boys :-$
  3. Sadly the concept of "Honour" has deserted the Met and the police in general. There have been calls for periods of custody without charge to be extended and police forces keeping criminal records for long after they should have been destroyed. The Police will always want more power and more information - that is the nature of the beast. Generally I support the Police, but you have to always ensure that the Police serve the public and that this always has primacy.
  4. This kind of medical report really irritates me. Some medics have done research and got it published (they have to get more senior positions) regardless of how this will impact people's perception of medical advice. I suspect most non-vegetarians will have read this report and thought - sod off. It is SO unrealistic that it is positively unhelpful. Medical advice needs to be realistic and ease people toward a more healthy lifestyle - not try and create a totally healthy life - its impossible. Go ahead, live off lentils and fish and get run over or die of skin cancer. Eat a bit less of the naughty stuff, move around a bit more and you will feel better and maybe then you will then eat a little less of the naughty stuff and be able to move aound a little more; and so on. People will rebel against this totalitarian message. I wouldnt be at all surprised if sales of bacon now go up. Grrr ..
  5. Keef - you need to ask the wife now.
  6. I walk pass there every day and often see the manager. I dont know him - but he always grins at me like a long lost friend. I think I have only ever drunk in there half a dozen times and not for ages. NTV.
  7. *Good God!! Grabs ribbon and limps after DM with a hopeful look*
  8. He was setting up a barricade between the Promenade and the Rock Emporium by the Pier - and got lost.
  9. live in a big block of flats with security doors. Keeps the blighters at bay.
  10. *Hair erect and smoking, clothing tattered and soot on face - still, cattle prods in the rump, I feel strangely aroused* *Fancy a quick dip behind the Japanese screen DM?;-)*
  11. The meaning of life, the universe and everything?
  12. Chicken transporting at a battery chicken farm. Grab three young chickens in each hand, pull them out of the cage - take them to be injected against fowl-pest (I will never get fowl pest myself as I was innoculated on a number of occasions)and then stuff them in a crate for transport to the laying sheds where the process was reversed. Fun.
  13. The bloke from Terry's DIY? Who'd have thought it.
  14. Never mind Domi-poos, they will invite you next time.
  15. Soooooooooooooo easily pleased ::o
  16. I seem to remember an august member of the Forum referring to a lady's "woo-woo" on what mildly drunken evening. You know who you are.
  17. *Draws flame-thrower from behind favourite comfy seat. Points it at the potentially very-hot dog*
  18. King Kong's death fills me up.
  19. But really: Only Smarties have the answer
  20. The local post boxes all claim 5.30 as the last, and indeed, only collection. Which, unless each post box is individually serviced by its own Postie, cannot be possible.
  21. YES - one of the great ED hair-characters - he used to do security at Peckham Safeway before jumping ship years ago. The bloke from Terry's DIY with a magnificent barnet is the only other chap to match Elvis.
  22. You little tinker. Must have been cold.
  23. "Zenoria Street" is where Big Bird's Babilonian cousin lives. Zenoria is also where a beautiful, purple lady came from in the first Star Trek series. Capt Kirk snogged her and had fisticuffs with the evil alien holding her captive, the evil alien looking like a bloke in a very bad carrot disguise. Spock couldnt give him the Vulcan neck-pinch because carrots dont have necks; but Kirk pureed him - so all was well.
  24. I think we had the fox-urine interface debate a few months ago.
