  1. Last night - Shugborough Hash. I can minced beef, one can tinned peas - heat together in a saucepan, add dried potato powder until very stiff. Sounds disgusting but is a comfort meal from childhood outward bound weekends. Tonight I will be mostly roasting a chicken.
  2. Email what DM? There wasnt a photo just a a snippet on Popbitch which is at the top of the thread. XX
  3. Liver and onions tonight.
  4. I have been assertive and have changed the title of the thread.
  5. Well, the EDF Xmas party might be an opprtunity for taking over the Drum - or the CPT :)) I like the Idea of the FHT having never been there.
  6. *Have some cold cheesy pumpkin casserole thingy Keef, its from the Queen and is a cure for all known ills*
  7. So, the first Friday of November is 2nd of November which is the start of the Bonfire night weekend. Given this and the fact that the last EDF drink was only a week ago, the self appointed EDF Social Committee suggest that we have the next gathering on Friday 9 November. Venue - The Forest Hill Tavern
  8. Geogia and I sort of volunteered to oranise the drinks - but they usually just swirl together of their own accord after a prompt. I need to prompt the November one.
  9. I'm in Altima too - "The Forum Bar" perhaps - we coul over discounts to EDF members and be guaranteed a HUGE turnover
  10. Best footy food is at Kidderminster Harriers - Home made cottage pies and home made soup and you can stand whilst watching the muddy ball being hoofed artlessly up and down the pitch.
  11. 1st of July = Princess Diana Day = flyby opportunity over central London for the Arrows surely? Start a petition swiftly!
  12. G&B has the best waiting staff >:D
  13. I'm with the Floater - more research required.
  14. Anna - no problem :))
  15. *Wow - I never knew that* *Mockney - were you annointed by the actual Queen? - sort of Maundy marinaded?*
  16. Banks's Mild Ale
  17. Oh the smoked chipotle in chilli con carne and fajitas is just fantastic.
  18. *Wonders why Mockneys feet are covered in pumpkin casserole?*
  19. Thailand - friendly except the pushy tuck-tuk drivers and the pain in the arse bell-boys who kept phoning me in the middle of the night wanting to know if I "wanted a lady" France - friendly except the shop-keeper who accused me of shoplifting and wouldnt apologise when I shoved the receipt under his nose Ghana - friendly Ethiopia - scary with big guns Bangladesh - friendly Pakistan - friendly from what I could tell, I wasnt allowed out of the hotel Nepal - friendly to foreigners, not too each other Netherlands - ever so friendly Estonia - friendly, except the tosser who nicked my wallet Greece - ever so friendly Barbados - friendly with nice beaches Italy - friendly except on the auto-strada where they turn into homicidal maniacs Germany - surprisingly friendly Belgium - ever so friendly and with added beer and chocolate Spain - friendly Canada - ever so friendly with big hugs, especially in Quebec if you make the effort to speak French USA - friendly with big portions
  20. Bloody hell Anna - how long do you work for? I saw you on the train yesterday morning at 7.50ish! Ask for a pay rise. I try and cook a big meal over the weekend and then freeze portions for later mid-week eating. I had home made shepherds-pie (organic shepherds from Borough Market) and a banana.
  21. Has ED been gentrified? The definition being that an area on its arse has gone up in the world, Hoxton for instance. So, has ED ever been on its arse in that way, or has it always been fairly affluent and it has just become a bit more affluent? I suspect that the dowty class warriors will soon be leaping into their tanks to fight the good fight on this one.
  22. Tis a mystery wrapped within a conundrum .... or is the owner of the CPT just waiting for an offer? There were people stood on the benches outside watching the game through the windows over the heads of the crowd!
  23. I dont this that Simon Hughes is even a contender. Too much water under the bridge. They will look for newer face free of baggage.
