  12. What SJ said. You're sticking your head in the sand over this one Jah. Bale hasn't said he wants to stay either. How did several newspapers know that Arsenal were going to bid ?40m + ?1 for Suarez the day before the bid was offically lodged?..
  13. Today's featured race is a much more open affair Mick, so it's unlikely that we'll all pick the same horses. The odds will be good, so a good opportunity to score lots of points...
  14. It's all bleedingly obvious now... Bale to Madrid...Roanaldo to Utd...Rooney to Chelski...Torres to Liverpool...Saurez to Arsenal...now just need an Arsenal player to loadsamoney Spurs to complete the circle...........................................Gervinho! :)
  15. I think the Fabregas rumour in full is ''going back to the Premier League'' ;-)
  16. There's been a rumour consistently doing the rounds for the best part of 6 months or so that Ronaldo 'would be back at Utd in early August'. I never gave it any credence, but with it increasingly looking like Bale will end up at Madrid very soon, maybe, just maybe...
  17. It's worth noting that the mortgage company might want to see details of the builder's Public Liability insurance, incase something should go amiss during the works. Regardless, it's worth asking any builder about their PLI, a good way to sift out the cowboys...

I dunno, I blame Betfair...careful you don't get too many splinters sitting on that fence hedge ;-) I agree it should be more competitive this year. I think the difference could be a transfer or two, so I'm holding fire until the big business (if any) is done...
  19. Spurs letting Caulker go...selling club ;-)
  20. You did Mick, but so did Argyle and myself :)

  24. Jah Lush Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I'd be very surprised if Fabregas went to Man Utd. > Money may talk but he will be paying a lot less > tax playing in Spain and he is also at the club he > wants to be. Isn't the top rate in Spain around 50%? And even if they do pay less tax over there, he would probably still 'take home' more at Utd than he curently does at Barca. Anyway, I'm sure tax isn't that big an issue for most footballers and their creative accountants. After engineering a move to Barca I'd be surprised if Fabregas wanted to leave so soon, but it's not like Utd to be so public about bidding for a player, so I can only presume that Fabregas has privately indicated he would move to OT. I think there will be a third and final 'take it or leave it' offer...
  25. If he signed for Utd you would have 5+ more years Mick, I think you should start a petition...
