  1. I'm pretty sure that in the case of a lot of CPZs a single permit would be reasonably priced and additional ones would cost a hefty whack more. This would hopefully persuade a lot of people to do away with second/third cars. The owners of Gas-guzzling SUVs (like the pleasant guy mentioned in the first post) would be targeted with even more expensive permits.
  2. Sean, sainsburys sell more than just meat and veg. If you're doing the weekly shop for a family of 4 it's a hell of a lot cheaper to do it at a big Supermarket, it's also a lot easier to drive there rather than walking there and back laden down with kids and shopping bags. Sainsbury's also beats Somerfield for range of products as well as price, the butcher's is reasonably priced but SMB and the place on NC are not (?1 for an organic chilli?). As a neighbour of Mixulee I completely understand where he's coming from.
  3. I used to have that William Shatner record, The Transformed Man, it was mental!
  4. 3. Now That's What I Call Music 12 A vintage collection
  5. I only have River Cafe Easy from that selection and it does just what it says on the tin. The 15 minute tomato sauce is a current favourite for those days when cooking a proper meal is just too much of an effort.
  6. I can currently be seen on the train to London Bridge reading a copy of The Kite Runner. It's very enjoyable (the book, not the train).
  7. For any kids reading this, remember to drink sensibly. Drinking games are not big, nor are they clever. They are however, very funny. I will not be taking part due to the fact that I am now over 30 and have a weak constitution. Amen.
  8. Funnily enough I'm soon to have a new kitchen fitted by none other than the kids from Fame!
  9. Sounds like the kind of activity that ends with a drive on the porcelain bus.
  10. Yes, he lives on Silvester Road, just across from the sorting office. He paid for the (eco-friendly, solar powered, carbon-neutral) private jet that took most of the forum over to the US.
  11. Lots of work to do unfortunately, but it's turning into a "taking the piss" day. I'm sticking it to the Man.
  12. The chap there often greets my 2 year old daughter by her name, and we don't go there all that often. I sense that, much like Darth Vader, there is some good in him.
  13. It was nice to see some familar faces at the recent ED Forum get together in AMerica... http://static.flickr.com/70/197950969_9fa0d64285_o.jpg pity some you guys couldn't make it.
  14. One member has a camera and takes photos in the pubs of East Dulwich and then pretends there was a "forum get-together". The other member can never make it.
  15. Could it be that there are actually only 2 members of this forum?!
  16. No, Zizi is very average. Not even as good as Pizza Express. It would not be a good addition to the Lane. BTW I see Bella Pasta in Dulwich Village has closed down. Rumour has it that it is to be replaced by a "Drive-Thru" McDonalds.
  17. For quick easy Italian try River Cafe Easy, it doesn't break the mould but there are some great risottos and other simple but delicious recipes. Otherwise try Moro for Spanish/North African food. Yum.
  18. Heard it for the first time today, needs a few listens I would guess. Not so many catchy tunes this time but sounds promising.
  19. Is everyone here a bit highbrow for the Kings of Leon?
  20. As a fellow deep-blue square you should know that in fact I am quite un-moved by the knowledge. Shall we start a band? The Moody Deep-Blues perhaps.
  21. So you live near said Ape as well? Hello neighbour!
  22. Karter actually stands outside a shop very near to Mrs Robinson dressed in a Gorilla outfit.
  23. Lots of "Yoofs" hang round outside it.
  24. Deep Blue Square. Like Victoria Beckham, my idol.
