    well IF anyone has been banned before they would be silly to risk getting banned again and IF someone else hasn't had a ban before, it would be a shame to see it happen.     can only agree with DJKQ James - is a breathtakingly optimistic statement, bordering on Orwellian use of language. As an aspiration it's laudable, but I suspect (and will be happy to be proved wrong) that the numbers worse off will be legion

    When I lived near you Nero, I sometimes used to get the 197 bus from the library to East Croydon - it does drag, and isn't pretty but has the benefit of being close to home and avoiding schleppage But usually just went to London Bridge and then changed - ultmately it's just easiest. Travelling to Forest Hill, Change, West Croydon, Change, East Croydon, Change and the Brighton has too many steps that can go wrong for me

And as it happens I've enjoyed a few beers with him since then and he's a lovely fella - who woulda thunk it

    Typos abound there. I was asking Concita to read her last post as it accused me of not being in touch with reality (essentially, mad). But her subsequent post went on the attack saying how offended she was that people were suggesting she wasn't in touch with reality. Basically she gives it but can't take it

    You know when you lose your temper and say something you should regret and then revisit it and defend it anyway? And only subsequently do you realise that actually you REALLY do regret it? I did that earlier with Huguenot, and I can?t apologise to him or for my own lapse enough
