  1. I'm not sure why you are bringing loony left into this discussion
  2. Bicep. You're making stuff up just to have a pop at it. Stop it
  3. No-one going to mention west ham? Some great stuff being played tonight
  4. This Lambchop nirvana
  5. new mother noone is giving rights to thieves - the question is human rights and whilst I'm disagreeing with pk and huncamunca on this particular thread, it's not a trivial issue I love how you got mad about something that didn't happen on here as well Lastly I would say that being poor doesn't excuse bad behaviour, but that is NOT the same thing as saying a society can predict that bad behaviour will rise or fall depending on how the poor are treated.
  6. Shame they installed the fans seats the wrong way around (boom boom)
  7. Have you seen the recent Ricky Gervais film - "The Man Who Invented Lying"? Basically, yes - it's possible to be too honest
  8. I read that as tongue-in-cheek when you posted it, but knowing you you could mean it as well EC Either way, big deal
  9. Jah - have you forgotten to take your charm pills today? What exactly has EC said today that's so hostile? A teeny bit of winding up but people say much worse on here all the time
  10. "and if it ain't done in this country it don't count" so what if it's not as popular here as other countries - neither was drinking wine with food at one point. Why be so insular?
  11. Watching TV can be a big social event - in other countries it's pretty commonplace (be it chat shows, or Simpsons before that country got the righst to show it) etc Nothing inherently wrong with the concept
  12. anyone on a mobile device which zooms the browser can see instantly it's not a thumbs up
  13. As Rosie is pointing out, some of these posts belong on a ?why I don?t like X factor? thread rather than someone innocently looking for a pub that shows it. (I?ve made the same mistake on the apprentice thread) So if you don?t like it but want to beeatch about it start your own thread ya bullies (and after what they have done to ?Heroes? I?ll join you)
  14. I dunno Piers - from everyone I know Assasins Creed II completely overhauled the faffing about from they didn't just make it a bit better, they seem to have nailed it. This latest brotherhood installment is meant to be excellent but some think it's a small step backwards and other think it improves on II But II >> I by some distance Still it's all Pinball FX2 and Kinect Sports round mine at the mo so what do I know
  15. The coincidences just get bigger and bigger! Atila used to know a bit of Turkish as well
  16. GTA IV on it?s own is a hefty slice of gaming ? I haven?t finished it. The 2 episodes are quite different in tone (and fun) but I haven?t bought them and won?t until I finish the main game (they come up as cheap deals every so often anyway) Assasins Creed 2 I haven?t played but I don?t know a soul who says it isn?t excellent
  17. Easiest thing to say is "Grand Theft Auto IV in the wild west" But it has a totally different flavour. Being out in the wids is very similarto Obvlivion - but the actual quests are more like GTA. I think it's brilliant
  18. Hang on - are we saying ED specific things have to be deemed important? A mugging/attack near Crofton Park is unfortunate but it isn't very Ed-Specific
  19. I wish I could recommend Final Fantasy XIII to you Keef as I?ve been playing them since the mid-90s and was really looking forward to the first one of this generation ? but I can?t. Epic production values can?t hid a very linear RPG experience. There is a bit which opens out and makes you go wow and the combat evolves into something quite nice but ultimately it?s a bit flat Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas both use the oblivion engine but some people really don?t like the scary grey world compared to Oblivion?s trees?n?fields Some people love the Mass Effect RPGs ? depends on your tolerance for sci-fi Dragon Age is another Bioware epic ? people who love it love it but has mixed reviews Two Worlds was an early Oblivion clone which was a bit of a disaster but the sequel is due and looks like it could be worth watching
  20. most nights of the week, most restaurants would see a lot less than 30 covers. I'm seeing about 5 over an evening in some places...
  21. entering that full reset code can take a bit of practice if I recall, but I've done it a few times now Let us know how you get on Narnia
  22. All roads are clear and all buses are travelling - I got to work with no problems (slightly less traffic made it easier than usual tbh)
  23. Proper stars of the past. Yer bowies, jaggers, sineads. I'm so glad they waited until they were 28 before developing a personality
  24. The Halifax adverts in the papers. Half a page but vertical and no rest of page As if the tv adverts weren't bad enough
  25. It's true. I did, just shy of 3 years ago, labour under a misapprehension. That original thread showed me the light. I learned from my mistakes. And despite disagreeing with pk again just recently, they remain a poster I always read with interest Looking at the emoticon again it seems downright weird I could have confused them for a jolly thumbs up. Anyway, enough.... Back to me being right, now
