As for Obama's personal safety - well, it does tend to be the good ones that get killed - MLK, Ghandi, Lennon - all killed. Reagan? wounded.....

not just you shosh - I'm well chuffed he beat Hilary but he has a scary 5 months ahead. Fingers crossed he beats McCain too I'm quite enjoying his 2006 book as well - but I do worry about what happens to people when they get in - and Obama is such an idealist it seems too good to be true - I worry the only way is down. But then I think of the alternative and I breathe again

I'm reminded of Oz comic Brendon Burn's routine about the futility of terrorist attacks on the UK "these people want to convert Britain to Islam - Britain, a predominantly white nation which has yet to convert to Christianity! Britain, which has yet to convert to the f****** METRIC SYSTEM!" Honestly - I know some people take pride in it and everything but it comes across to other countries as petulism -

I wandered down the Lane about 40 mins after karters posts - Jaflong wasn't full but busy enough but I noticed several diners in most of the other establishments - Tandoori Nights was rammed as usual What surprised me about Jaflong was the lack of menu outside the restaurant -

In ED itself the only one know if is the Video Shop - expensive ?1 for 20 mins? Oh - and the library at the Plough end has some terminals but they may be restricted If you have a laptop your best bet is to use wifi in a pub or cafe I reckon

if you click on the "more information" link it shows the same map but a different location. I don't think it's related to the forum, possibly a "centre of east dulwich" stab in the dark by Google?
