  1. Jen Thursday nights at the Plough (I've been to most quizes in the area but not this one strangely enough - and it's my local)
  2. Moos: When keef said "first we take Camberwell", it was close enough to the line "first we take Manhattan" from the Leonard Cohen track of the same name - so I just added the second line and nodded in MM's direction as he is a big Laughing Len fan...
  3. I liked that LadyG!
  4. .. then we take Berlin * nods in Marmora Man's direction *
  5. Indeed I do Keef! Cheers for the heads up John - err, I mean Sean
  6. "I'm a 'dapper-dan" man myself Keef but seriously - not Leon? I still love that film
  7. Y'see about binary thinking - I have both Annasfield and Asset both down as top people, both up for a laugh but they have very different ideas about what consitutes a good night I will have a hard time agreeing with anyone who finds the idea of SATC movie brilliant however
  8. hang on a sec - this hasn't been lounged yet, and Admin has only just reposted the "rules" - so on topic please people! So who is at the Starting Point at 12:30 tomorrow then?
  9. I ain't scared of you two (so was it really me that "took it there?") Well my mind is a sewer - I just tend to censor it on here
  10. yikes Sita - doesn't sound a pleasant way to spend a sunny Wed morning! I have to say it's a funny old office - i have always had nothing but friendly service from those guys but the posters all around the office suggest enough "incidents" for it to be an issue.
  11. Moos- after several days of tutting at other threads you had to take it there!
  12. Binary thinking Jimmy, binary thinking People aren't necessarily that easy to pigeon-hole
  13. I can be competitive - Marmora Man and ???? would even be proud of me! - but I don't know about this one. I'l ltreat this year as a test-run methinks... (the thought of pelting down Barry Rd only to tumble over a car pulling out of Uplands Rd would be scary - IF I hadn't been doing something similar in GTA IV every night for a fortnight now)
  14. I'm in - might give a practice run this evening tho... Do people do the run in civvies or do they have running shoes on?
  15. Sorry KK you're right - I phrased that very badly didn't I? I can't help anyone. With anything. Ever. But I have still got all my hair - that's all I meant
  16. That is weird Cassius! As you say, if you tell someone in advance how can it be suspicious behaviour? The most recent time abroad CapitalOne have been behaviong a bit oddly. firstdirect as good as gold evertime tho
  17. Have we got a list of definites for this?
  18. Sita I think it's happening more often pretty much everywhere - I think someone even said the office admitted it because it meant the delivery drivers could get through a lot more "deliveries" that way. It has certainly happend to me a few times My suspicion is that it's part of the general target-culture and wind-down of the whole service before selling it off On the plus side, unless it's mega-important I quite like a pootle down to the sorting office of a Saturday morning a meet a few people in the queue
  19. I can't see at work TT - who is it? Now this track is insanely catchy - be warned...
  20. I hopped on one day with a cup of tea in Oxford St juuuuust as it pulled away - cue grabbing of pole, physics kicking in, and a whole cup of tea flying up the aisle - people were not amused that was about 19 years ago mind....
  21. funnily enough I saw Gregg in The Plough of all places last week - just didn't expect that
  22. oooh I didn't mean a panto Dame, love - the other kind
  23. I thought the club looked like this If you liiiiiiike a lot of chocolate on your bisuit join our....
