Narcos is proper good. Apparently the Colombian accents are awful though, so surprised Bob liked it! http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/sep/17/narcos-netflix-colombian-accents

    Breaking Bad

Wasn't into Lillyhammer... the hammy acting just really annoyed me. Daredevil is good, if you're not bothered by the fact that it's completely ridiculous. Peaky Blinders is excellent if you haven't seen that.
  4. Cedges/Pickle, it wasn't in the park, it was a music festival in the bars and venues around Peckham. TBH in many ways it was like a normal Saturday night in Peckham, with places like the Bussey, Canavans, Four Quarters, etc, all pretty busy. The main difference was that you got a wristband allowing you into all the different venues. I assume the OP is asking from a policing point of view... but not sure I have a lot to add, it all felt friendly, good-natured and safe to me. But I bailed out shortly after 2am, so couldn't comment on anything that may have happened after that...
  5. I don't know... I think there's quite a bit on the market, but a lot is overpriced, or is in very bad condition, so has been sitting on the market for a long time.
  6. Food-wise I won't really miss Caf? Noodle, but always sad to see hard working people forced out of business.
  7. But they already serve ED from Herne Hill! Also the quality has really gone downhill.
  8. I assumed Henry was being humorous/ironic...

  10. I reckon I could manage a food shop worth much more than ?60! I'm sure if you're interested enough to get in touch with the OP, they can answer all your questions.

Depends on the individual... but if you try too much too soon, or you're overweight, or have bad technique (or a naturally awkward gait)... running can certainly cause damage - sometimes lasting. And if you already are starting to suffer from arthritis in the knees, it will probably make it worse. Of course not everyone who runs will suffer such problems. And as with so many things, it's a matter of moderation.
  12. Signed. The child-free adults deserve somewhere to enjoy coffee/breakfast in peace!
  13. Yep, the new Melange site is on Maxted Rd, but I think 'gebbjane' was wondering what was happening with the old site...
  14. I've never done it (the very thought) but know people who do/have. I believe they sometimes indulge in a ritual known as a "shower" before going to their desk.

Lots of birthday/hen parties at the gigs, I expect. (still, must be nice having more than 20 people come to see you play!)
  16. Hmm.. surely Busted were aimed at girls?

    Diet

RPC, I'm sure these things can be helpful if it includes a tuition element and you take the advice away with you. However, surely any weight loss through a short "detox" programme is by it's very nature temporary? Loz's example of Jockeys purging is an extreme example, but presumably a similar principle?

    Diet

Loz, you can't lose 5kg of fat in three days of course. But after a few days of carrot juice, and whatever other nasty things people do, your stomach and intestines will be much lighter. And if you have an empty bladder, and have maybe been for a sauna that morning... yes I think it's realistic. Of course as soon as you eat a couple of normal meals, it will all go on again.
  19. Yeah, you'd hope even the minor characters could afford a place in ED proper. Oh well.
  20. I've never seen it. But a friend of mine reckons that a GOT actress (apparently young and quite hot) bought his old flat over on Wood Vale. Presumably a minor character...
  21. Following you into shops... does this really happen?? If so, you should probably contact the charity to complain.
  22. Sorry you didn't get the house!
  23. I do know that every time a mini drives along our road, they scrape the underside on the speed bump! Also a bit small if you're using it a lot with a couple of kids in the back. Would second the Ford Focus suggestion... they're a bit uncool but they're good cars, solid, spacious. Estate version would make an excellent family car. Also Skoda Octavia.
  24. LL carpets - was 1.5 days to do a hallway in oak plank flooring. Including hardboard underlay, under-cutting around the doorways and bottom stair, beading around skirting, and fitted door mat. Maybe square rooms in modern houses would be quicker?

But if we're talking hallway, double reception and kitchen. With hardboard underlay. Then any necessary under-cutting/beading. If you find a guy who can do this in two days, please pass on his details! > It would be lovely if we could all > afford top end fixtures and fittings, but as the > OP made it quite clear that they are on a budget > there's not much point in telling them that if > they spent more than this budget they could get XYZ. Not suggesting anyone goes top-end. I'm sure Ikea units are fine... but for instance, I'd rather have a stone worktop, nice fittings, etc even if it means postponing some other work. If the OP doesn't agree, then of course I have no problem with that.. just personal preference...
