We've got three kids, eldest 8 and youngest 3, and have never had a car. As you say, in London it is mainly fine, it is the trips away that get complicated. We are on on my mum and dad's insurance who are in Cambridge so sometimes will train it there and then borrow the car for a couple nights but wish zip car worked better for these type of weekend trips....looking forward to seeing how others deal with the trips thing....train journeys have definitely improved with the iPod and iPad!!

We have just booked our first Parkdean caravan holiday for Easter at The Cherry Tree site in Norfolk. Any tips? We can't find any details of what we pay for on-site so any help with this much appreciated....do we pay for pool, passes are mentioned somewhere?! And the kids clubs....we were not that bothered about all this as we assumed we would be on beach most of time but as it's on site.....

I think the demand would be huge if you pound the right venue...

My dad is down and looking to spend the day with my 6 yr old. My 6 yr old has never been to a football match and is keen to go to one....unfortunately Hamlet are playing away tomorrow - any other football matches on they could go to last minute?

Don't think they need to be because of their short hours but could be completely wrong!

I wonder if there could be health and safety issues though...if they do let some in in areas that don't block entrances and exits and then on the other tables there is not much room around them. But it would make more sense to explain it thus...

Peckham Academy seems to be the one being offered this year (although it does have a good with outstanding features ofsted)......you will be on waiting lists though and there's a lot of movement...would have thought you would at least be in with a chance of Harris girls?...

Sounds like they are not looking into it further but feel like they have already done enough, bit of a passive response to me.....certainly don't find it reassuring....

I think stabilisers just slow them down.....definitely balance bike but make sure you get one that can adjust seat on.

My experience is that if your older one is already sleeping well it is unlikely having his brother in the same room, even waking and crying and low lights going on etc, will wake him up. Mine have always shared and although at first you tip-toe around, one bad night where it all goes wrong and you realise the other ones just sleeps through it! That at least might get the study room back in action...

Amott road nursery. They only do mornings sessions from 2.5 yrs but are ?30 for the week (because it is a parent run charity rather thn business). I've had two sons there and it's a great way of giving them an introduction to the whole nursery thing....they have a Facebook page with the number on and I think they have spaces now.

Yes ?4 a class. Would recommend the sat class at 1pm at the Albrighton Centre for a younger child. Oh and I'm pretty sure first class is free....
