  2. Thanks....will look up Sandy Balls!
  3. We usually do the centre Parcs thing but the costs are slowly creeping up and wondered if others have ny other companies thy would recommend for entertaining kids out of season. Someone said Butlins is worth a look at? Also I've the idea of a hut in the forest, any ideas? Thanks
  4. We have three in the same room. The youngest joined the other two when he moved from the Moses basket. They sleep through his cries.
  5. Bessemer Grange Children's centre are starting a swap shop for families in the area and are always looking for donations. Please PM if you need further details.
  6. Have just heard about a new group on Tues 10 - 12 at the Albrighton for 2-5yr olds. Called 'Tumble' the blurb describes it as: A soft play session offering a range of equipment - Bouncy Castle, ball pit, slide, crawl tunnel and a wealth of soft play equipment to climb on, bounce on, build up and tumble down....sounds good! Cost ?2 per child.
  7. Sorry think it passed a couple of weeks ago....try jags or dulwich college?
  8. Really sympathise. Am surprised the local neighbourhood police can't help/advise. Maybe worth talking to them at a p.re-arranged time when you can discuss the situation with them not just at a time when it is in response to a complaint. I thought this was what Asbos were for?
  9. A lovely bi-lingual German Nursery at St faiths Church Hall Red Post Hill or if you just want a half day cr?che magic moments is a great introduction to nursery and I think they have places.
  10. I'm with you Coach Beth.
  11. Have pm'd you.
  12. I thought kids with Special Educational Needs got priority or is that not the case at secondary school?
  13. And where would the doctors of the future come from?.....
  14. Kings urogyny department have a very good reputation for this type of thing, meant to be one of the best in the country and the physios are lovely and very knowledgable. So at least you are in a good place for getting it sorted. The percentage of women who have some sort of prolapse after birth is much larger than is talked about, so it is not uncommon, you are not alone. Just chase your referral and check what exercise you should be doing as I suspect there are some that will make it worse for the time being (pelvic floor exercises not being one of them).
  15. Looks amazing! Thanks for tip.
  16. Are you saying the old hospital site is too small ie smaller than Harris? sorry not up on the size of each. It's just that for a primary the hole seems to be over towards The Rye; near the hospital there is Goose Green, Bessemer and a lot of others locally but it seems that a larger chunk of East Dulwich is missing a co-ed secondary choice. (I take your point about needing boys only to balance girls only but I suspect most would prefer co-ed. I have three boys and although I am delighted my most likely place of entry for them is rated outstanding it feels like a really fundamental educational choice is missing.)
  17. James is a co-ed secondary school on the old hospital site a possibility or a long shot?
  18. Shame, what a great idea!
  19. We always go to Elveden just because it's easiest to get to for us. I would pay to be central, aim to get there for 10, gives you a whole extra day, do a big shop before you go, food there pretty rubbish, book yourself into the spa on the first night less busy (if your partner doesn't mind dealing with the kids...you want to get your relaxation in early, moonlight spa cheaper 6-9). On the last day go swimming, don't rush to leave. Some of the cheapest villas are the most central, they are fine, better to spend money to be central than on upgrading. Book an activity a day but don't overfill your time, you will want to swim most days - time out clubs are good if you want a rest from the kids. (And we always do midweek for the extra day)....
  20. Sorry we must have been typing at the same time all done and dusted.
  21. Put them in the order that you really want, that way you will automatically go on waiting lists on those above - these waiting lists move alot from the first round of offers. Don't forget to use all choices - if for any reason you don't get your top three you would probably still prefer a local school to one miles away (unlikely with Bellenden's bulge). Using all choices will not make it less likely for you to get a top three.
  22. How about tae Kwon do or street dance? Both 'cool' and good for confidence. Know of classes if you pm me.
  23. Are you able to provide a cr?che?
  24. My experience is that it does work and by putting the others above will mean you automatically going on the waiting lists. Remember to ask to stay on them each year though and do check that you are on.
