I'd much prefer to go onto the same time as the rest of Europe, and have the sunset in mid-winter at 5pm instead of 4pm. I don't mind getting up in the dark when I know that the daylight is coming, but seeing dusk fall in the middle of the afternoon is just too gloomy.

Any platinum-plated recommendation is in danger of being a disappointment. But I hope The Wire makes some new friends, though - need some more junkies to discuss it with.

Liked it a lot too, and particularly the inclusion of the geology of the park, the wildlife of the park, and the people associated with the park. Hard life, being a bear. I always thought it might be quite fun.

Wasn't remotely offended, am old meself! But thought you might honestly mean kids as sometimes people with children take them into pubs and bars. From what I hear, Adventure bar is stuffed with people under 25 and may not be your cup of tea*. *Not suggesting you're THAT old.

Young kids as in 1) Toddlers 2) Teenagers 3) 20-somethings? Might help narrow down your target market somewhat. I'd suggest you just wander down the lane and have a look at all the different pubs/bars you can see, and go into one or two that seem to have the right vibe for you. Good luck, have fun.

Annaj often contributes intelligent matter, not only using her medical expertise but also more widely providing links to topics she's interested in, such as science in the media. Talks crap about CSI though.
