  1. We stayed at the Flower Garden Hotel very near the Termini Railway station - it was absolutely fine, and extremely reasonable, and the breakfasts were included. The rooms can be small, but you can book a triple room. Children 2 and under are free. Good location for walking to other places. Trip Advisor reports can vary but we didn't have any problems. The bus from the airport drops you right near the station, so it was just a short walk to the hotel, about 300 metres.
  2. Who is Draft House aimed at?
  3. If you are referring to the original posting, then only one person had their dogs off the lead. The other dog was being controlled. Why should the police arrest them both? No one should have to put up with being nipped by someone else's dog - so why don't you report them? Take a picture of them and their owner. Unfortunately there are a lot of people out there who don't control their dogs, thankfully mine doesn't run after bikes or runners. You can't lump all dogs and their owners into the same category, but you obviously are.
  4. Maybe they had captured stray dogs in them who then made a break for it.
  5. I made a cake in the end. I think most fruit cakes, as in German kuchens, not dried fruit, can be made with interchangeable fruits. Am going to experiment with pears, and some different plums.
  6. Think they get paid for each person on their books.

Saying obviously........is it really obvious? No, not usually, unless you can read minds or know someone intimately.
  8. So, any non alcoholic recipes?
  9. Perhaps people are just going too fast and need to slow down?
  10. Sounds interesting. Perhaps I should get some of that non-Peckham gin to try. How would you drink it when it's ready? On the rocks?
  11. and want to share? I have a bag and am thinking of making a crumble with almonds.
  12. KK, what are Botox rubber lips? Botox is not rubber.
  13. There was a spate of people being mugged at cash points on Lordship Lane, (particularly remember the Barclays one) in the early hours of the morning. Presumably they were targeting people on their way to work. So yes, muggers are around at that time.
  14. Weleda, calendula and Euthymol isn't mint... I also found some clove toothpaste in a pound shop, think it was the one by Camberwell Green. Red and white packaging. Edited to change to clove.
  15. I think Lidl has some that aren't mint but are other herbs. Have a look at the Tom's of Maine toothpastes. Think there is a cinnamon one.
  16. Call the council's Environmental Health Dept. and report it every time. Perhaps they will put up a sign, which might help. It's ironic as the council does bulk rubbish collections for free........some people don't know that though.
  17. Botox does not make lips bigger. Fillers do that, permanent and temporary.
  18. Sadly, there was a cat in my street attacked a few months ago by a dog, he had lots of operations inc. an amputation and subsequently died.
  19. Shouldn't the letting agent have their number? Or the landlord via the letting agent?
  20. Write to them and ask them all this under a Freedom of Information request.
  21. Monkey, What does the PCT say when they reply to you?
  22. Have you complained to the PCT yet? I have posted about this before.
  23. Yes, that's it, forgot the name!
  24. When I think of decking I think of the maintenance, rot and mold. Plus wildlife families building their nests underneath.....
  25. There is a repair shop on Forest Hill Road. He fixes TVs and radios. It's up past the Co-op on same side of road.
