  1. Decking in the garden? Is that still fashionable and sought after?
  2. Wow those are a lot of reductions and a large one overall. There is a 1 bed garden flat in Oglander Road (in one of the smaller houses) that went on the market at close to ?290k, it went under offer v. quickly and is now back on the market at a lower price, with a reduction of about 20k. Can't remember the exact figures but am guessing that the first offer price didn't stand up to a valuation.
  3. Oh. my. goodness.
  4. Rib Man not usually at Brockley. He makes guest appearances every now and then. He's usually at Brick Lane on Sundays. He has a website and is on twitter. Brockley Market in on Lewisham Way near in the grounds of the college car park, not far in a car. It's also close to Hilly Fields for a walk afterwards.
  5. You should edit your original post to reflect that it was a Rottie.
  6. Oh my gosh. Or if you don't want to take the *Lord's* name in vain.

  8. Went to Brockley Market today - it's v. expensive. Coffee - ?2 for a black one and ?2.50 for addition of milk. Those are sit down prices and have in a china cup prices, not walking around in a cardboard cup prices. Rib Man was there today. Mother Flipper burgers range from 5.50 to 6.50. Mike and Ollie's Wraps are ?6 for a fish one. There is a good meat seller from Kent there who is also at Peckham Market outside the library and at the Sunday Herne Hill Market. His prices are the same at all the markets.
  9. Sorry to any Rottie owners out there but I have seen off the lead Rotties attack other dogs including my own. It's nuts to walk around with two dogs off the lead anyway.
  10. What are the prices like? I can't see your attachments.

She has engaged on here before. She probably only came on this time in order to clarify the glaring mistake that had been posted.
  12. Southwark Environmental Health should have/give advice due to noise and animal welfare.

If it's in good enough condition then you could just get a loose cover made. Some things sold on here look to be in excellent condition though. I have bought 2 items of furniture from Habitat in the past and they were both terrible. One was a sofa and the springs slipped down inside the back and arms. Thankfully they took it back eventually and I got a refund. Also bought a daybed from them and the seat cushion would not stay on the base. That went back as well. Also had a bad experience with an M&S armchair. That went back as well.
  14. Buy something second hand and get it recovered/upholstered. Auction/ebay/gumtree/here.
  15. What a pointless thread to start.
  16. Take him to Brixton Village as well, open late on Thursday and Friday night, and I think Sat. night; so many places to go. They have a Sunday food market as well. The Herne Hill Sunday market is also worth a visit, lots and lots of stalls.
  17. There's a Polish place in Camberwell on Church Street with things like pierogis - also the Polish restaurant restaurant at Elephant and Castle called Mamuska, which might hit the spot. The Southbank Food fair every weekend - Friday, Sat. and Sunday nr. Waterloo Station also has a Polish place.

No hot water in the Ladies although it looked up to date decoration wise. I find it hard to believe it's kosher to not have any hot water in a toilet? Hygiene?
  19. There is already a thread on this re their food, in the business section, of the forum.

  21. There is quite often a problem with pigeons in my road, and lots of them were roosting on parts of my house, under the eaves and on window sills. I installed plastic spikes which worked. They aren't a particularly amusing topic as they are vermin. Southwark has posted several prominent signs around which say do not feed the pigeons - apparently it is against the law.
  22. Nerja is a lovely place to stay with a family. It's east of Malaga. I can't recommend any specific places though as the last place I stayed in there was sold. If you can stay in/near the centre you wouldn't need to have a car the whole time.
  23. Look into free insulation for your loft if you have one. Most of the utility companies offer it. Keep reading your meters so that the utility companies don't overcharge you on your direct debit amounts. They will if they can. I have had mine reduced a few times as they presumed I used more than I did. Why give them extra money upfront and then have to battle to get it back at the end of the year. Buy window insulation on Amazon to fit around gaps if you have draughty windows. Can also buy plastic film to put over windows during the winter. Doesn't cost much but makes a difference. I have been heating one or two rooms at a time rather than the whole house and it makes a difference. Have been using space heaters.
  24. GB Where are you living and why aren't you in ED? Did you find a moggy friendly landlord?
  25. Malumbu It would be very helpful if you would post over on the Hunter Boots at Jolie a Pied thread.
