It could be worse, we could be in Ireland
Gidget replied to Otta's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I read that this poor woman was approximately 18 weeks pregnant. If that was the case she would not have been able to have a D&C and would have had to go through labour, which appears to be what was happening. If her waters had already broken then it was very unlikely they would have regenerated, but that would was why the doctors would have been checking the baby's heartbeat and presumably performing scans. -
Well, there is also a three bed in Ondine Road for ?750k, but with a loft room. And a five bed in Ondine for ?795k.

Zeban, Such as which oils?
-
I had a look online and didn't see any reference to the oil being extracted from digested fruit thankfully. There are a lot of videos which show how the oil is extracted though. If you have fine hair then the same company has come out with a slightly lighter oil to use apparently. I think Moroccanoil can also be used on the rest of the body but haven't tried it yet.

But it can all change when the survey takes place and depends on how much deposit someone has.

Maybe stuff like close proximity to St. Johns, and the station adds up but Adys Rd. is hardly a quiet and peaceful road. If it was a semi or on a more quiet road or had an amazing garden it would be worth nearer to that. It would cost at least 50k to put an extra bedroom and bathroom in it so surely the price is more 650k. 4 beds round here are going for just over 700 I believe.

I know it's not just parents but when queried they say it's ok to do it as they are with their child. That means they know it is wrong but think it is somehow justified by being with a child - this is a new thing to me - new as in the last five years or so. Have child - break law and cause problems for pedestrians. What lesson is this teaching their child? I think it is worth mentioning as perhaps there are a large number of other parents out there with children coming up to cycling age who somehow think this is acceptable behaviour.

Can't do the link thing - but it looks perfectly nice but not like an amazing amount has been spent on it. Perhaps with the East London line prices are expected to go up more?

It's on the market for ?750k with Winkworth. Sounds rather ambitious to me. Or is this the new reality here?

Why do so many parents around here seem to think it is ok to cycle on the pavement with their children? I often see men and women cycling with their not even small children. Recently saw man with his son with about aged 11 and when I asked him why he said it was ok because he was with his son! This was on Grove Vale. Take your kids to the park to teach them to cycle and do not use the pavements.

Wanted to mention a product I have been using - Moroccan Oil - which has done wonders in getting out tangles. It has a blue label with orange writing. Available much cheaper on Amazon than in hairdressers. I started using the conditioner as well. I am on my first bottle and I bought the tiniest one available. Only one or two drops are needed. Use on wet or dry hair.

What is the etiquette on how long to leave a baby crying at the top of their lungs before parent takes them outside to try to shush/comfort them? Or is it now considered ok to do it inside the venue without any consideration for other people?

The Gardens cafe - NOT baby friendly
Gidget replied to nubby'smums's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I like the Dish and have been in there a few times. Great food. But what it the etiquette for a screaming at the top of its lungs baby? Isn't it usual to take the child outside and walk it up and down and not just sit shushing it to the detriment of all the other patrons. They have a play area in the corner which is away from the tables. Fantastic. But there was someone in there recently who let her child play very noisily with plastic items for a long period of time right at a table in eating area, and the noise was extremely irritating. They were being dropped on the floor and the table and made a very loud noise as the cups made contact with the hard surfaces. -

There is a Giraffe at the top of Kensington High Street, nr. the hotel. Not sure if it would classify as for a special family meal but kids like it. -
Whew, Pres. Obama has been re-elected. Congratulations to him!

Don't get the Lamington love. Guess you need to be an Antipodean or from somewhere round about there. Anzac biscuits are quite nice though. So are friands/financiiers and they seem to hail from down there.

US elections are much more interesting and exciting than UK elections.

thinking of getting 1-2 bunnies as pets but live in flat, any advice?

So no mongoose to kill the snake? -
Ms. Cupcake in Brixton Village has a good selection of different flavours. They are all vegan. The flavours aren't too far out, for example, she had peanut butter and chocolate, bounty (as in bounty bar) lemon, vanilla, amongst others that I can remember. All of her products are vegan. She has a website. She provided free cupcakes for locals after the riots summer 2011. They are tasty and not too much effort has gone into them, which I like.

I had an outdoor bunny as a child - I now realise I should have had 2 but didn't know that then - and I used to bring her in the house all the time because I could see that she was lonely. She did run around, hide behind furniture and chew any cable she could find. She also left a trail of poo pellets behind. Unless you are prepared for that then perhaps you should think about guinea pigs or rats as indoor pets. Or what about rehoming an older cat who is used to being indoors? -
I like all of the above. No need to slag off the name of cupcake. Butterfly cakes and fondant fancies are a work of art. They can all have their good points.
