I saw the Hughes wave this afternoon and thought it was hilarious. We complain that managers aren't given enough time and when Hughes doesn't deliver (yet, and they are only 3 points behind Arsenal with a game in hand over most teams) in his first full season with their new found wealth you think he should be sacked! Keef, your dislike of him wouldn't stem from his United associations would it? ;)

I was just noting how in this day and age it's a bit silly to leave your car running in the street. It takes two seconds to stop the engine and turn the key in the lock/press a button to lock the doors. I ride a bike mostly, but I do drive on occision and have never felt the need to leave the car running while I pop out.

I'm looking forward to seeing what team Fergie puts out for the Manchester derby cup tie! I was sort of hoping for an all Manchester final but hey ho.

Sorry Jah. :(

That's a coincidence because I don't give a toss about Portsmouth. ;) Matt, is it also a coincidence that you don't want an English dominated Champ League after your side gets knocked out?

We use it regularly for evening film trips. Park on the ground floor which is well lit and it's free. Never seen anyone else in there, let alone smack addicts, and never had a problem.

Arsenal out of it now? Liverpool must be. Blimey, all over by Christmas? Where have I heard that phrase before?

Shame on him for having ambition! For someone who is quick to jump on an out of context quote Matt you've only gone and done it yourself. The quote in full makes him sound a little less manical: Fletcher told the new edition of ?United we Stand: ?I love challenging myself against all the best players and a lot of them play in the Premiership,? ?I watch how good they are, but when we play them I think to myself ?Right, I?m going to see how good you really are. [Cesc] Fabregas, [Frank] Lampard and [steven] Gerrard, I?m going to get against you and see how you like it'.? ?And when you?ve not got the ball I?m still going to get about you and see how you like it.? ?I?m going to ask you: ?Do you fancy it? Do you like getting kicked? Do you like the fact that I am going to be at you for the whole 90 minutes?? ??As soon as you get the ball I am going to be in your face. You are not going to like it one bit. And when we have the ball I am going to run you into the corner and you?re going to follow me. Are you ready for that? Because that?s what?s going to happen.?? Of all his opponents, Fletcher believes Lampard is currently the best of the lot. He added: ?Lampard is the one who stands out in the Premiership.? ?His movement is outstanding for such a big lad. He?s fit, runs all day, but if you turn your back and he gets blindside of you he?s gone.? ?You have to be so aware of him for the whole game, concentrating 100 percent.? ?You can?t watch the ball; you have to watch the player. Lose your concentration and switch off and he will punish you.?

Stolen from the beeb live feed: Fifa Fair Play Code: "Play fair. Winning is without value if victory has been achieved unfairly or dishonestly. Cheating is easy, but brings no pleasure. Playing fair requires courage and character. It is also more satisfying. Fair play always has its reward, even when the game is lost. Playing fair earns respect, while cheating only brings shame. Remember: it is only a game. And games are pointless unless played fairly." -

Oh, come on Sean. It's ANOTHER example of the degredation of the game. ANOTHER nail in the coffin of something we all love and enjoy. Not to highlight another Arsenal thing, it happens with all teams, but I go back to the recent Eduardo dive. There is just no need for it. As Arsenal were the better side in that game France SHOULD have been the better side in this. They shouldn't need to resort to these lengths. Henry is a wonderful player and he has managed to not only sour his own reputation but bring an element of shame to his national side and partially taint one of the best sporting events in the world. To much hyperbole? -
Keef's example of Fowler telling the ref he didn't deserve a penalty. Wenger offering a replay of the FA cup game. Only a week or so ago Bobby Zamora telling the ref that Carragher got the ball. It does happen and it should be encouraged and applauded. I just can't see how a footballer like Henry can look at himself in the mirror this morning.
