I see Morrisons have it for ?25.99 and not as well publicised as the Sainsburys offering so there might be some there!

MM, if you click my Agog link you'll get a Youtube video of the whole sorry affair.

Liverpool were certainly having the best of the game at that point. How worried are you about Yossi's injury? I haven't read anywhere how long he will be out for. I see the Beeb are reporting that Torres op is being delayed as well.

So where does it end Ted? Should a player be booked for thinking about sticking his arm out to stop a ball? Should managers be banned for encouraging a player to clatter an opponent when delivering their team talk?

I've just watched the dive on Youtube and it's a disgrace. Should be hanging his head in shame. Agog

Not me. I only believe believe Andy Gray. :))

Mourinho, Ancelotti, Hiddink, O'Neil. There's four names for you Anna. I'm not sure you'd have got Jose but I bet you could have made a good fist of getting the others and they would all be suitable replacements. I don't believe a club with your history couldn't attract a manager to replace Rafa.

I'll vouch for that AG. They weren't a particularly nice bunch and had a real contempt for most of their customers.

He was a mixed up boy.

Me too TheBest. Two plus years and counting and not a sign of trouble, even when breaking down. -
I have to agree Keef, I should have qualified my Chelsea prediction with the caveat that they are going to be pushed hard by a quality looking Arsenal side if they stay on track. They've come back from a shaky start to be real contenders. I just think that Chelsea are more likely to grind out the results if their backs are against the wall.
-
Chelsea all the way this year. They are a class act and the two people you don't want to start getting on form, Ballack and Deco, are having great seasons so far. We were three bad decisions away from a 1-0 win but as Atila says, if it had been the other way round then there'd have been no compliants.
-
A good game all in all. We were a lot more impressive than I thought we might be and deserved a point but not complaining about the result it was going to be one goal either way. A couple of dodgy decisions by the ref but swings and roundabouts really. Hopefully this will give us a bit of confidence for the next few games!

I thought the white shirt with no sponsorship looked very smart the other night....apropo of nothing.

I think we'll be ok Anna. It was light hearted joking, sorry if it upset you. The truth is you gave us a scare last season and it's a relief that (at this point in the season) you don't look like you are going to run us so close. My father-in-law can't be a real fan as he has been saying for a while that he wants rid of Rafa. I didn't actually mention money and I know we are in a lot of debt but we consistently perform better that Liverpool. How much would not getting to the next phase of the CL cost you for instance? I think we have a better purchasing policy and, I think this is crucial, we blood more young players than you. It's not all about money I'm afraid.
-
Yay! Keep Rafa....suits us! Rafa in! Rafa in! etc. etc. ;-)

If I say he's a fool I'll get told it's not his fault.

Forgive me Michael. I bow to your pedantic semantics.

"Shocking" road surfaces? > No. A bit lumpy at times, but not shocking. There > are many other things that should be classed as > "shocking", not our roads. Honestly. I am sorry Michael you are wrong. I ride a bike (I'm sure that makes me unpopular) every day to work and the state of some of the roads in East Dulwich, Peckham and Nunhead are shocking and in some cases dangerous, not just 'a bit lumpy'. I ride on skinny tyres now but even when I used to ride in on a mountian bike there were certain stretches of road where I would have to turn the suspension on. I have seen at least two people being taken off their bikes by potholes in the area. I would call that shocking. Honestly.

And you are about to buy Shevchenko!

And presumably meaning they rush the jobs even more leaving the road surfaces in an even more shocking state than they are already.

I think there's a difference Anna. The only pressure for us to win anything in those six years was from the fans. The owners were happy to let him have the time and the financial rewards and the ability to attract/retain players was totally different. We were used to crap managers. And he joined in 86 and we won the FA cup in 89-90 so that's only four years in my book. The premier league and the reformatted European cup have put a lot more pressure on managers and players and time is of the essence. Apart from the European cup win (lucky ;)) I would say that rafa hasn't delivered enough, soon enough for a club of your status. Just an opinion of course, not a fact.

If they > continue to place debt on our club, losing games > at the start of the season will become the least > of our worries. Boo hoo Anna. I see you are as obsessed as ever with making excuses for a man who hasn't got a clue. Riding one lucky win from 2005 can't cover for taking off your best chance of a goal at 1-1 and your second best chance of a goal when you are 2-1 down and your 5th loss in a season which has barely even begun. Keep Rafa, as I said, we love him at OT and long may it continue! ;) I'm quite happy with the way United are playing at the moment. Nothing brilliant but enough to get results and keep us up there and with a Worlkd Cup next summer I am guessing most of our players are going to peak in the new year.
