  1. I think AG has finally lost it. Did anyone hear a bang in south London, if so, I think it was his head exploding. :))
  2. How was my maths wrong? You had posted three times, as I stated. -1/10
  3. I can't believe a) someone was stupid enough to start this thread and b) she has got to the point, three posts in, where she is correcting people's spelling. 0/10
  4. I like America and Americans. The East and West coast anyway.
  5. Claim Israeli citzenship and get called up for national service. Job done.
  6. Terrible dive. I feel sorry for the 'keeper.
  7. It was sporadic on the Nunhead side. Haven't seen one for a lot of months.
  8. I was about to say the same thing. Jah, are you still drunk from the weekend? :))
  9. Can I just say that we have been ONE of the richest clubs over that time period and for MOST of it it was becasue of good financial management. I'm not arguing just pointing out that it wasn't rich benefactors or putting up ticket prices to astronomical levels or anything like that, just good solid planning and management.
  10. I don't understand what you mean about the level playing field Anna? I assume you mean money? Up until our own yanks took over we were extremely sensibly managed financially, future looking, solid wage structure etc. Having been the most dominant club in this country and Europe for as long as Liverpool were do you think it was just bad timing? i.e. United's success came with the Premiership era/huge TV and sponsorship money etc? Where did the legacy go astray? Was it appointing foreign managers instead of prompting from within as Liverpool did before?

  12. I'm not sure who I would have bought that's why I was interested to hear what Liverpool fans had to say. I'm still sure there's better business out there than Aquilani (who could end up costing you ?19M, is in his mid-20's and is crocked) and United have only tended to buy one or two players for that sort of money in a season and even then, not every season until recent years. Look at this summer where we have spent (comparatively) very little. We are visctims of our own success in some ways as prices are automatically increased by out interest in a player.
  13. Lard, do you not think he could do better with the money? Reina, Gerrard and Torres are three examples of world class - i.e. top ten, if not top five in their position in the world - players in my opinion. Aside from the Robbie Keane debacle, which was inexplicable, there must be better business out there than Deggen or Ngog or the new Greek fella.
  14. Come on Anna, no mudslinging from me if that makes a difference. I'm genuinely interested in your thoughts. As for last night, hit the clubs in their pockets I say. Either a ban or make them play games behind closed doors. My dad never took me to a game in the late seventies and eighties because he was frightened what might happen to us and it makes me sad to think that there might be another generation of kids who will miss out on live football because of a handful of idiots. Quids, I'm glad you escaped and I'm glad you didn't feel the need to join in.
  15. Keef, it was a perfect opportunity for you to say you've got five!
  16. And we've got three!
  17. Spot my deliberate mistake? I meant tomorrow night. I think we'll get a draw against Arsenal at the weekend. Wouldn't be suprised by a loss but I think we are good enough for a draw.

Arsenal to scrape through then probably reach the semis.

  20. MM, I'm not sure he will allow those 'death tackles'. :))

Your prayers have been answered and you won't have to go to nick: Online Pies!
  22. MM, I refer you to the answer I gave to Jah earlier!
  23. Erm, it was a joke Jah. See the winking 'smiley'. I fully expect them to beat us at the weekend, a draw for us would be a good result.
