  1. You don't agree with me Matthew? Really? I'm shocked. Keane was a great player.

That's not true actually Keef: H?land retired through injury in 2002, although he claimed on his website that this was not caused by Keane's tackle. 3. See here! Flickery lights!
  4. On the phone again Keef? ;-)
  5. It's always better to give than receive.

Maybe next time. Not to help perpetuate this feud :)) but isn't Quids saying that you'll be beaten by any Tom, Dick or Harriet in La Manga where, I am guessing, Spurs are having some "warm weather training"?
  7. Are you all boycotting the Derby and Everton FA Cup ties?
  8. I can't believe we've got this far into a thread and NO ONE HAS MENTIONED THE BOOKIES! Oh, the humanity.
  9. I don't know, it wasn't that depressing. The first goal was class and I think their heads dropped a bit after that. I thought Beckham started to look like his old self and Wright-Phillips was superb, excellent work rate. We had some fairly notable absesnses last night against what was a pretty full strength Spain side.
  10. I was only messing MM. As an Aberdeen fan I can only watch with jealousy. Hiddink confirmed as new Chlesea boss. You should have kept your money Matthew. I predict he'll be sacked by the weekend....

Good god man, > what were you thinking. To clarify, I meant in the Premiership. Let's face it you could shave a monkey, put him in a tracksuit and give him either Rangers or Celtic to manage on any given season and he's more than likely to win the league. ;-)
  12. I guess I base success on trophy wins.
  13. Fergie was on the edge of the sack, but let's face it we'd had the likes of Tommy "Shagger" Docherty, Dave Sexton and Racist Ron before that we were out of options. :-$ I'm not sure I'd say O'Neill had been that successful until now either.

Couldn't agree more Atila (this is getting weird). I would also add to that list O'Neill - three seasons at Villa and look at them now.
  15. I have to say, if you can pick holes in Scolari's previous career to the point where you (rightly Matthew) show what little he really acheived then you can have a field day with Hiddink. What has he done?
  16. And they are in talks with Hiddink...:-$

He made our defence nervous every time he got on the ball. I hope he fulfills his obvious potential before the end of the season. If Arsenal (sorry LG and Atila) keep going the way they are would you think you could make Europe? It would take Everton to go through a bad patch I suppose. Fergie sees off another premiership manager. Now for Benitez. :))
  18. Maybe they have been lining Adams up and now he's free....
  19. I'm guessing you're referring to Ince? He's a twunt of the highest order, you won't meet many United fans that like him either.
  20. Quids, your lot had us under a LOT of pressure for good chunks of that game. It needed something special from Giggs to break them down. I'm impressed with Zola and WH. I also thought the treatment of Tevez by the crowd was outstanding. Props.
  21. I think even Terry Henry would question you on that one Matthew, you know that's not true. Solskj?r and Sheringham.
  22. Cole and York...
  23. I didn't compare him to George Best. :))
  24. I can't agree with the Beckham thing (obviously I love him as an ex-United and current England player) but if there was a player who put his heart and soul into a game a la Gerard, Rooney, Keane etc then he was that man. Take the England draw against Greece and see him doing that time and again for his club and you've got a brilliant footballer who gave his all. The only mistake he made (apart from some petulance) was leaving OT for a poor Madrid side (a decision forced on him by circumstance) where the players were obvioulsy not being trained properly and then the subsequent move to the US.

I think there's an element of this with Rooney too. Tries too hard to influence a game and gets tired and frustrated.
