I don't want to start a row about this but your comments on Europe are a little galling. The possibility that the performance of Englih teams in Europe might have been a little better if we hadn't been banned from playing there due to certain incidents...also the United team of the early and mid 90's was a victim of the ridiculous rule limiting the amount of foreign players allowed in a squad. As far as Cantona goes he was right for us, he changed the club and he started us on a raod to where we are now. He was an excellent player, a legend at OT, but I can't expect anyone else to understand the impact he had at the club and the belief he brought with him. Bergkamp was a great player, Terry Henry was the greatest striker I have seen and I truely believe that David Beckham was one of the best players we will ever see play.

Darren Fletcher is a good player. Ask any Scotland fan. You remember one game when Viera bossed Keane? I can remember lots where it was the other way round. Give me Keane over Gerard any day and what are these 'historically defining goals'? Giggs, winger or midfielder? Who cares? He's one of the greatest midfielders we'll ever see. As far as other teams go, I'd take Viera and Gerard but there aren't many others I'd choose over United old boys.

John Terry. I am neither mocking transexuals or people from Warrington but you have to admit it's uncanny!

Stevie G out for three weeks. How important is that?

I don't believe it. I've been watching this turgid game for the whole evening. My wife has gone to bed in disgust and when Everton are scoring their goal ITV have gone to some sort of twisted ad break! Still, Liverpool are losing. MM, my father-in-law and future brother-in-law (both Liverpool red through and through) both want him gone. I'm not sure it's that untypical an opinion.

Sounds hilarious.....

I've cycled all winter but gaver it a miss this morning as Gubodge says, it's not you it's the idiot drivers you've got to be careful of.

Can I come? :))

Good business from Chelsea signing Quaresma on loan. I've always liked him.
-
Presumably if you go along with what Matthew said in an earlier post it's a Rick Parry signing that no one at the club wanted. Or is this Rafa showing he won't be dictated to by the board in any shape or form before he signs his new contract?

What a joke all this Keane business is. It's just embarrassment all round isn't it? Great financial business from Spurs though and one lees striker at Anfield can't be a bad thing.

Where else in the world but here?

Let's keep baiting Louisa until she explodes and then maybe the heat generated will melt some of the snow enough for buses to get to her house. As for the 'no warning' argument they had been forcasting snow for most of the week and the severity was being talked about from thursday or friday. Louisa, I hoped that in the time I had been to the park the my daughter and shown her the magical and happy scenes in Peckham Park you'd have done some shovelling, gone and checked your elderly neighbours or made the effort to walk to work. I think you are wasting valuble time that could be put into re-opening the infrastructure, so why don't you stop typing and do something useful? -

If I was a tourist in a central London hotel I would be thinking what a magical day it was and that it'll be lovely walking around a capital with a romantic layer of snow on it. You don't seem to be considering the people who might REALLY be suffering like the old and infirm. Are you Gordon Gecko? Does it all have to come down to how much money Somerfield et al will be losing? -

Thanks for the stupid comment Louisa. If your experience of Canada and Moscow is so good then why don't you go back there? If you really think that the rest of the world laugh at us because we have problems with a heavy snowfall every ten years or so then you are the stupid one. Do you wander the streets blushing in shame at the potholes in the road and the rubbish on the pavements? Do you cry in embarrassment at the queues outside such cultural establishments as Madame Tussards and The London Dungeon? Just tell me this. If it's so important that these businesses open for you today why aren't you volunteering to get into your car and pick up some of their staff? Also, the pavement and road outside my house could do with clearing so once you've got Lordship Lane up and running be a dear and come and grab a shovel off me. -

What I can't understand is what was so important that you needed Somerfield or Barclays bank? There are other food shops and their are other banks. Why can't people like you relax and enjoy an enforced lazy day? As for the gritting and buses, I think the facts are that gritting doesn't work on several inches of snow and to be honest I wouldn't want to be on a bus in these road conditions with some of the psycho drivers (bus and cars) around here. -
Well, that was a disappointment. The Lampard sending of was a disgrace but having said that Liverpool were the only team that looked like winning today. Chelsea look very lacklustre at the moment and it's hard to see why but I can't see Scolari lasting through the summer.

I am extremely excited about tomorrows four o'clock game! I'm hoping for a 0-0 draw! :-$

Thanks GG, I hope at least you sponsored me! ::o

I'll just use this to test my new signature then if that's ok?

It will be nice to win our 6th (therefore surpassing Liverpool) at Old Trafford South...:))

I've just listened to the MotD interview in full with Rafa and I really don't get it. So he takes off Torres and Gerrard because 'they were tired' and the team counldn't win the game because every time they had the ball they were tackled? I think one of those kidney stones has got into his blodd stream and lodged in his head. :))

So what is Benitez alluding to with his comments on last nights game? "I am disappointed with a number of things but no, the Wigan approach I will not talk about them," he added. "It has happened in the last three games. They have something in common I don't like. I know why but I cannot say anything." Is he just saying teams are too physical for the Liverpool team?
