  1. Liverpool and Arsenal fans don't like Ronaldo shocker!
  2. Wasn't it also nicked from The Record or somewhere where it had been used for a previous act of Caley Thistle giant killing?
  3. Haven't seen the highlights yet but according to the radio commentary Ronaldo made a lot of it but it was red card. Suprise, suprise Matthew hasn't been on yet talking about the injustices of referees decisions towards United. Now, where's that flying pig? Good result last night and still on course for the league so that's nice. All the other stuff is just gravy!
  4. The Peckham High Street was closed at Oliver Goldsmiths by the police. Lots of traffic being diverted north, not sure why.
  5. I think this is the first ever crack smile: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v675/davidrose24/nobby-stiles.jpg
  6. I have three words for you, Peter Andrew Beardsley. Lovely guy, ugly mug.
  7. Now we are getting to the true crux of a football argument...who has the ugliest players! :)) I am of the firm opinion that Fergie, having had his fingers burnt by 'Brylcream Boy' Beckham, now has a policy to sign players that only a mother could love.
  8. Can't even be botherdd to tell the truth. As far as I can see that's just a wind up for the sake of it. Onto more important things. Liverpool haven't won a title in nearly two decades! How crap are they? Discuss.
  9. I think the unbeaten season and the treble are on an par. (I think RD did say if you don't win anything then it means nothing but Arsenal did win something and even I admit it was a great shame they didn't win the European Cup that year as they were such a fantastic advert for the game.) I also think that you are a bit unfair on Bolton and Allardyce Atila. I don't like the guy, he tries to run teams with computer software but I think a team plays to it's strengths and Bolton's strength under him was aggressive tactics. It phased Wenger and the Arsenal team (and therefore worked) and since then there's been no love lost but I think that they didn't play unfairly.
  10. Sorry, I don't get your point Matthew. I think it's a bit much to blame injuries too. We've lost players over the seasons to injuries long and short term and have usually had decent cover. Look at Park, Hargreaves, Giggs with his hamstring etc. etc. Surely it's the manager's job to make sure that if you lose a player like Fabregas or Eduardo there's enough depth in the squad to replace him? Arsenal aren't short of money. Is it a case of lack of success being to blame? If you go to a club like United you know there's a decent chance of success and therefore are prepared to sit out games on the bench to try and get inot the side at some point rather than thinking srew this I'm off to a club where I'll get more games? This is not a dig at Arsenal, I know they play some wonderful football and I think that Wenger has a real skill for spotting talent and they are a great side.

How do you work that out? I see no European Cups, three league titles and four FA Cups and an unbeaten season but let's face it four seasons with nothing (if you count this season which looks more than likely) and I can't see how he can be head and shoulders above anyone. Even Benitez got lucky and won a European Cup. ;-)
  12. Is it that he couldn't win England caps if he were Brazilian or French? What do I win? :))
  13. We won't. I'm telling you (and have been since the first game) we will lose on away goals in the Champs league. There's a few potnetial banana skins in the FA cup too. Not least my best mates's team Coventry if they can overcome Chelsea this weekend.
  14. I ran a half marathon this morning, came back and cooked lunch for my wife and daughter and then went to the pub to watch. I am afraid Wembley was out of my reach today but 'm not much of a fan. ;-) Jah was there. Speaking of which, wtf was all that Fan-o-meter thing all about? Which fans were making the most noise in the ground and then flashing it up on screen and on the advertising hoardings. Bloody ridiculous.

Thought Spurs gave us a good game and both sides deserved a goal in open play I think Lennon did look good. Matthew you missed the 30 mins when we were dominant.
  16. I'm telling you he's your weak link. Why did Gerrard come off? Is he injured again or just felt not to be fit enough for a full game yet? (This is not biff, a genuine question.)
  17. Ah, you're here already! Can I introduce you to Atila and Matthew123. I think you'll get on like a house on fire. So, who do you follow again?

You should come on over to the 'On the Ball' thread and meet my friends Atila and Matthew. I think you three would get on.

  20. There's a phrase, it's on the tip of my tongue, "there are lies, damn lies and statistics".
  21. I didn't say we'd steamroller anyone. In fact if you go back over the thread I said I thought we'd go out on an away goal. I also think that Real have a lot to play for and they are going to give you a game at Anfield. I would say that Chelsea and Arsenal - especially Arsenal - are in pole position. I think that Arsenal have the benefit of the weakest opposition (no offence to Arsenal) and I think that their progress might just kick start a bit of a resurrgence, in fact I wouldn't bet against them making the final...you heard it here first.
  22. Rick Parry is on his way and all is well at Liverpool. Rafa should sign his new deal and they'll win the league in 2010! ;-)
  23. matthew123 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The team most likely to struggle from the PL > quartet is United. You think that? What a suprise. I'm sure you're right, we are shit after all, we couldn't boss a game like Liverpool.
