Ok...:)) and if I don't lie?

Just got home to find the house has been burgled. I think I dropped my keys outside earlier this afternoon (and feel like a right idiot!) and that's how they got in. I'm a little worried that the insurance company won't pay out on a claim like this does anyone know? Can't find anything in the policy document and the offices are closed at the weekend.

It might help if you told us which venue you were going to...and the only Beirut I know is the Paris of the Middle East. I did see Art Brut last night though so bring me tea! :))

Maybe worth looking here? The mountain biking thread!

The ref's fitness was the one thing I would have questioned. He couldn't keep up! Anna, stop supporting Barca and do what your heart tells you. You REALLY want us to win our fourth European Cup don't you!

Is it me or is Ruud Gullit turning into Craig Charles?
-
Wow. They took the mickey when it happened to us against Porto, now they can see how painful it is. Best team won and what a great final it should be.

What a dreadful decision for the sending off of Abidal.

You mean apart from the love-in we get before every Liverpool home game where they force everyone to watch and listen to the Kop singing the dirge and waving their scarves? ::o

Not even the "Kop" is an orignal name.

"The White Pele" is in a European cup final...are any of your players? ;-)
-
I saw my mate the other day he said he'd seen the White Pele. So I said, "who is he?" He goes by the name of Wayne Rooney!

I don't think that's fair. Everyone nicks other teams songs and puts their own words to them. I'd say united were one of the teams that generate a high percentage of their own songs. I've been to enough games to know we sing for our players (past and present) and we sing for the team and there's the odd song, like "build a bonfire" that you'll get at any game but mostly we sing about our own club. "Hello, we are the Busby Boys", "U N I T E D", "Who the f*** are Man United" "Cock of the north" and the "United Calypso" before the game. Think of the players songs "Park, Park where ever you may be...", "The White Pele", "Giggs will tear you apart..." several Ronaldo songs, and of course "Champions of England, Champions of Europe". May not have original tunes but they are original, positive chants for club and players. The one and only time I've been to a Liverpool game at OT they let everyone out at the same time and the Scousers were pretty aggressive to be fair. I didn't enjoy walking past them. (You had won with the only goal from Danny Murphy in the 87 min).

No way Mike! I thought you'd be right behind us. ;-)

Anna, we can take it really, but I was just making a point. :))
-
Well, you've been talking Barca up for a while now AG so I hope they return your faith in them tonight. I'd like to play them in the final.
-
What are you on about Matthew? I assume you mean flag waving staff, as in the same sort of thing as the Champions League circle things that get wafted by kids on the pitch before games and the giant flags that get passed around over the crowd? I think they probably do similar things to that at most grounds don't they? It's like having cheerleaders at an NFL game. I certainly don't remember any booing at the Spurs game either. What's the matter? Are you a little biddy bit jealous of our second consecutive European Cup final? Bit worried we are getting close to your 5 European cups and 18 leagues? SAF certainly is getting close to knocking Liverpool off their F****** perch...:))

We looked very good last night. A deserved win. It was a shame about Fletcher and it would be great to have him back but I think it would be asking a lot to have the card withdrawn. It was alos a shame that it was that young lad Gibbs who slipped over for the first goal as he looks like a good prospect and he shouldn't let it rattle him. JSP still had a lot of work to do to score though. I keep banging on to friends (I do have some!) about how underrated Park and O'Shea are and they pop up and repay my loyalty. :)) As for below the belt Keef...videos of Gerard kissing the camera and various other posts by your lot when you beat us? I'm not one to join in, of course, but I've heard there's 50,000 red and white flags for sale in north London, only used for 11 minutes. Let me know if you're interested. ;-)
-
That's right Matthew, because we have such a weak midfield. And of course no Arsenal players play up for the ref do they?
-
Ok, tell me what trophies you've won since the 04-05 season? I was making a point about the overall performance of Arsenal in the last few seasons, not saying they haven't been good against us. As I am ever the pessimist I am sure that we will be beaten tonight but 2-1 would suit me.
-
I'm thinking a draw. One goal from us leaves them needing 3. It's a real shame as this game a few years back would have been a barn stormer but I think that with the lack of animosity (Keane/Viera et al) and the lack of Arsenal competativeness over the last few seasons (sorry LG and AG, not a wind-up but a statement of fact) has taken all the shine off these games. Cue them giving us a hding....;-)

can you bring yourself to tell us what happened?
