Well, a fantastic first half and a nervy second. I think the away goal rule is going to do for us at OT but who knows? With Vidic back and a fully exercised Rooney etc it might be ok. I'm really looking forward to the Liverpool Real game tonight and it's going to be interesting to see if Ranieri can do a number on Chelsea.

You also don't take into account that it's harder to win the European cup/Champions League these days. ;-) More games (both domestic and European), more travelling, more variation of teams styles and higher fitness levels. Not that I am biased but I think the achievements of Fergie (cuddly uncle Fergie!) at Aberdeen was extraordinary and is worthy of admiration no matter what you think of him in later life. That puts him up there with the very, very best.

Not really. Fergie wouldn't have been reading from a list for a start. As has been discussed here before Fergie never uses the M word, Rafa did, which made everyone go on about it. Then his team (or possibly his selection policy) let him down so the rant/tirade/set of calm observations made him look like he was unstable. According to you lot Fergie is an unstable, ranting alcoholic already. :))

Ronaldo gets booked for a dive, something you have been calling for all season and that's not good enough. Having just watched the game on MotD I can't see that being a pen but I am biased and I would have given Pedersen a yellow for the shoulder high body check on Rafael in the first half. I think, instead of looking to blame referees and 'cheating' United, you should question your crazy manager's team selections. Either he's nuts or he's trying to make a point to the board, either way you aren't going to (and don't deserve to) win a league with Lucas and El Zhar etc. Get over yourself and face facts (as I'm sure Benitez would say) your team isn't a patch on United in either strength or depth.

Well, I'm neither a Londoner or a Mancunian and still love my team and have done since the mid-seventies when we were shit and all around me supported Liverpool.

It's pointless getting into a conversation with Atila. He's turning again. No one who supports United is a proper fan, we're all plastic, the only team who plays decent football is Arsenal blah, blah, blah. Typical Gooner basically. Oh, I forgot the classic Fergie's a purple nosed alcoholic. That should about cover it. And it was all going so well.

Nah, winning trophies is boring. It's just more stuff to polish.....:)) I for one enjoy united winning trophies. Only one team can win and it's a wonderful feeling when it's your team. 1999 was one of the best nights of my life and last years European Cup win was close to it. FA Cup wins, league wins they are all special. I'm even excited about 1st March!

There's a secret room in Eastlands that noone ever visits. It's never been used since City moved there and legend has it that there was a room exactly the same at Maine Road. There's a dusty plaque on the door which reads "Trophy Room"....

I think it has be reclaimed to a certain extent but I think it's the thin end of the wedge when it comes to use by other supporters. It was good to see the those fans getting done for homophobic chanting aimed at Sol Campbell.
