  1. MP, the point was it was at England games, where people should be there to support England not slag of other teams players.
  2. RD nailed it. I was in the England members club for years and went to Wembley a lot and was always pissed off when Becks etc got stick and the 'stand up' crap came out. Always thought it was about England but apparently not. Left a very bad taste and to a certain extent I can't blame United fans.
  3. I think you should check back a few pages on here Atila where there was a lengthy discussion about club v country. Apart from myself, as I made clear in my post, and Keef the majority of people who post regularly on this thread were of the same opinion, club before country. In fact I was quite shocked at the amount who said they's rather have club success than success for their national side. As far as ronaldo goes, I got into a lot of trouble on here saying taht I thought he was an ungrateful little scrote for talking about wanting out last season. My opinons of him haven't changed and I believe he will leave at the end of this season but he is also a match winner, flawed, but a match winner none the less and I defy anyone on here to not want a player of his calibre in their team (cue lots of BS about how 'my team wouldn't put up with his shenanigans' and 'my team are above all that' blah, blah, blah.) Rooney and Ronaldo are good mates off the field, they have put the England sending off behind them and I'm afraid Ronaldo played 'the game' he knew how to pull Rooney's stings and Rooney was a fool for falling for it. I'm afraid you've said very little about the actual game last night Atila. It seems to me that your side were outplayed, fair and square - no dodgy free kicks/penalties/sendings off - and that the only thing you've got to say is about the fans. The better side won and to be honest you weren't in i for most of the first half and you haven't been in the championship race for most of the season...in fact you are lucky that you've had a minor run of form and Villa have slipped up otherwise Arsenal (see how I resist caling your team by some childish name?) would be playing in the UEFA cup next season and who knows? I've just been re-reading about Leeds fall from grace.....:))
  4. The chant of Argentina originated when Gabby Heinze played for us and has now been taken on for the diamond Tevez. United fans chant Argentina because most of them rate club over country and would rather their club did well than England*. So Argentina is chanted not only to support two of our best players but also to wind up England fans. Much like the Ronaldo chant "He winks to the left, he winks to the right, that boy Ronaldo made England look shite". *This is not an opinion I share. I live for the day that England raise the World Cup. I would swap a Premiership title for it any day of the week.
  5. I see the emergence of Atila Hyde is still on course. :))
  6. Phew, so all my fantasies will not have gone to waste then...;-)
  7. And it was a corker.
  8. Damn Anna, I'd always imagined you having a broad Scouse accent like someone from Brookie. I am sad now. We should have got a couple more, might be our downfall.
  9. ***NEWS FLASH*** Not all United fans come from Manchester shocker! :))
  10. Good Sean, all good.

  12. I thought that was a good game all round really. We played as well as I have seen since *the humiliation* by Liverpool. Still all to play for but I am glad they can't get an away goal!
  13. Welcome to the forum...
  14. I note you didn't wish my team good luck....:(
  15. Comes to something when a Spurs fan wants an Arsnal win. Still upset about the penalty Jah? ;-)
  16. There was a lot of weaving going on Taper. I'm in the ballot for next year so I'm going to give it another try! RD cycling is my thing (not really a runner). I'm off to do this in June: Dragon Ride and then this in July: La Marmotte
  17. Nailed on. Like the one on saturday. :)) Henry's looked a bit ball greedy. Couple of times he's had good passing options on and decided to try and worm his way through defence instead.
  18. Finished in 4'22" and was a bit disappointed as I was hoping to go under 4 hours but I did raise nearly ?800 and counting for the 999 Club so thank you so much to all the VERY generous forumites who sponsored me. Boy was it hot and boy do my legs hurt now and my Garmin told me I'd done 26.75 miles so there was a bit extra distance too. What's next? :))
  19. Oh no! Another Scouser in the world! :)) Congratualtions Keef, Keefette and commiserations Baby Keef, it'll be a long, hard life supporting that team.

Ha, ha. This is hilarious. I suppose you wouldn't want any of those pesky homosexuals near the nursery in case they try any funny business. Or are you worried that the kids might be lured into the world of modelling by being exposed to heroin chic from an early age?
  21. Just as there was never 6 minutes of extra time on Wednesday....just as it was a stone wall penalty last weekend. :)) Now, I'm off to do a marathon....I shouldn't be on here! Actually, while I'm here, that top ten list is a load of guff Matt and you know it.
  22. I got one (from a Lambeth library) and get almost no leaflets or menus now! Happy days.
