Don't worry Loz- evidence will be found or manufactured.... I KNOW the far left- and if you are a woman- watch out
  2. I pass it every day- I hope Noddy is a careful driver and sticks to the 20mph limit (I suppose we are lucky Mr Toad hasn't moved in!)
  3. I get the distinct impression that the far left will go all out to get them banned as there seem to be links to people from the far right...Diane Abbott has put her 4 penn'orth in as well. Then all the other virtue signallers will come out of the woodwork...
  4. It's preferable to getting blown up at Millwall! https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/4631448/millwall-terror-plot-attack-the-den/
  5. child support payments (assuming the biological father CAN pay) stop when a child reaches 16 or 20 if they are in full-time education. A friend of mine was in this exact position except has been married for 9 years. The father of the child paid every month until she reached 20 (as she was at uni) and then he stopped paying.
  6. I have just realised my GP is useless. Which surgery is OFFERING over 65s flu and pneumonia jabs?
  7. I was at the mercy of a rogue landlord years ago when my kids were very young. He had bought the house at auction with us as sitting tenants (and therefore bought it cheaper than empty properties) and made it clear that he was NOT going to do any repairs and just kept saying he was going to increase the rent. I think this is a countrywide problem and the councils need to crack down severely.
  8. I expect if you open one of those bins the smell would be horrendous- so the person avoids it

Horrible and such a waste of money. Don't worry he'll get his money back... Was it FH62 BYB? That is the cab that was outside mine for about 15 minutes a week or so ago

  11. And more recently https://www.standard.co.uk/news/transport/antipollution-squads-to-target-london-drivers-who-leave-engines-idling-a3267351.html Although over the summer I witnessed several 4x4s with their engines idling around school pick up time outside Heber Road school Lots of money used...what is there to show for it?

I had a cab outside mine with the engine running while he ate his lunch and read the paper. There should be a reporting system for cabs This is not new http://www.islingtongazette.co.uk/news/crime-court/drivers-who-leave-motor-running-in-islington-will-be-fined-in-first-idling-campaign-in-the-country-1-3707742
  13. ...'some good people lost THERE seats...' Anyway the so-called election shambles was Corbyn's fault for lying to the 18-25 year olds Andrew marr needs to be put out to pasture imo
  14. I moved to ED from east London 36 years ago. ALL the newsagents and small shops had been taken over by incomers pooling their money (and the local council turned a blind eye to them living 15 to a house as the council could not house them.)
  15. Being able to judge whether or not you are able to drive after 8 pints would be compromised. In fact people behave wrecklessly when drunk- the funniest are the ones that insist they are NOT drunk when they obviously have rubber legs and their speech is slurred. And the ones that argue with the cops or nurses in the A and E- a floor show in itself
  16. Probably because insurance companies can do what they like and we have no legal re-dress when they charge you extra ??? for putting yourself and car in a situation where it is more likely to get hit!
  17. I think they are exploiting the presence of the builders permanently in the area because the Protech guy who came to my door 3 or 4 days ago said he was working with the builders down the road. He had an Irish accent too...
  18. And you definitely need to take the prospective student along to the visits.
  19. They are still making engines at Ford in Dagenham... Part of the campaign to persuade us to vote Yes to the EEC included telling the electorate that Europeans would be driving cars built in the UK...
  20. I wouldn't have thought a person would have much left in the way of powers of judgement after 8 pints!
  21. You should visit them on their open days which are very soon. They are all different and you can get a prospectus and application form.
  22. How selfish. Who sinks that low?
  23. maybe since people have no-where to take rags for example
  24. I suppose it could have been a salute by cannons then as there were only 2 bangs that I heard.
  25. Well, if there are, then I sincerely hope that they teach the difference between 'there'- a place and 'their'- a possessive pronoun...as in 'their p.e. kit', and 'their pants'.
