  1. well I have now found out that some of the tenants did want them but others didn't http://metro.co.uk/2017/06/16/council-leader-says-residents-didnt-want-disruption-of-sprinklers-being-fitted-6712562/
  2. This Love by Pantera....best ballad ever
  3. can't be bothered to read that but I do know that private medicine and NHS obviously exist side by side- the same doctors and consultants do both. Also there is an exodus of trained staff from the UK and they have received massive subsidised training from us (it costs ?360,000 to train a doctor for example)and there is this https://fullfact.org/health/health-tourists-how-much-do-they-cost-and-who-pays/
  4. Glad to hear some (one) is using the crossings- there is a massive jay (?)walking problem in this area
  5. I heard sprinkler systems were offered and the tenants turned them down due to the disruption it would cause....
  6. Our P.E. department used to have a box of rancid old stuff that was left behind and you were made to wear it if you forgot anything...
  7. About 3.5 million people have type 2 in the UK....she may have got some more sympathy votes for Labour

No surprises here then except the turn out for 18-24 year olds was 58% as compared with 43% in 2015. https://yougov.co.uk/news/2017/06/13/how-britain-voted-2017-general-election/
  9. I remember waiting in Oxford Street for more than 45 minutes for a 176 in the good old days!
  10. Maybe we should give our front areas over to wildlife friendly plants, rotting logs etc.
  11. when I was a parent of small children I was as fit as a fiddle- you have to be to keep up with them. We had no car so we were on and off buses and trains with them and had shopping AND you had to fold up your push chair in those days.....these days mums and dads are middle-aged and cannot really cope- so do have some sympathy- NOT. I think they should get rid of the spaces now that they do home deliveries there is no excuse to waste petrol going to the supermarket ......
  12. there was a spate of this about 10 or so years ago then after that nobody put stuff outside- then you all started decorating your front areas and lo and behold the thieves are back.
  13. It should be possible- after all there is a 68X for example

Very sad really in my view as > someone with Scottish interests. what is this- I didn't write that first bit...I've worked with many from Northern Ireland both catholic and protestant and they were all very 'British'...although I could never understand their relaxed attitude to consuming large amounts of alcohol, even though my granny was Irish
  15. Dig to Australia...our garden was full of very deep holes as a result

It will be interesting to see the voting by age group figures next week- Jezza's big bribe re student fees and school lunches must have contributed to the result. This morning Arlene Foster said that when she speaks to Theresa may on Tuesday they will do whatever is best for everyone in the UK, and the people of Northern Ireland. She also said the word stability a couple of times Unfortunately I couldn't bring myself to watch the chancer Corbyn on Andrew Marr though
  17. If they are using builders who do not live there then it is classified as a construction site. Southwark has rules 8 until 6 Monday to Friday 8 until 1pm on Saturdays No work on Sundays. If they are doing it themselves, it is DIY and they should be considerate Also they are obliged to contain dust
  18. Makes no difference if you are outside your house or not- my car has been vandalised a few times outside my house, and around the corner every car along a 10 car stretch had been keyed overnight...
  19. The advisers have resigned...
  20. Theresa May was up front about her diabetes- why do we not know what is wrong with Diane- then it would end the speculation. Although she cannot have been ill when she said all those other things about Harriet Harman and Tony Blair's school choices, or the Andrew Neil interview about why she chose private for her child...
  21. Your property is classified as unoccupied and there are some companies that will insure- have a look at https://www.moneysupermarket.com/home-insurance/unoccupied/
  22. I once parked across some loading bay doors as i was late and didn't notice. When I returned my car had been bumped down the road- the men that did it came out and said they just lifted the back and pushed it. It was many years ago so cars may have been simpler then.
  23. Someone told me that in the library at Manchester University it is possible to call up a video of an IS killing a westerner on a computer and view it but if you try and view pornography you cannot.
  24. If the question is about her special field then she should know the answer, or at least be carrying about the notes so that she can find the answer; and if not, she should own up to not knowing. I once observed a teacher who was teaching a GCSE class the completely wrong thing- I discretely pointed it out so that he could rectify the error but he would not do it....epic fail- her performance reminded me of that incident
  25. The urban left can afford a Labour government. If you can afford to live in a big city it doesn't matter what party is in
