  1. Well, if there are, then I sincerely hope that they teach the difference between 'there'- a place and 'their'- a possessive pronoun...as in 'their p.e. kit', and 'their pants'.
  2. It probably was as there were no sirens afterwards.
  3. More bloody fireworks- bit insensitive given today's events imo
  4. I make a point of never patronising a shop that doesn't put prices in the window....it's like they're saying 'if you need to know the price, you can't afford it'...well I can afford it but I'd rather not buy it from you matey....
  5. It's so in your face- I swear they are trying to prevent a person from THINKING for themselves about what to get. It just makes me want to NOT buy anything
  6. the jetstream is moving north of the British Isles soon....lovely weather on the way. It's that damp feel in the mornings that signal autumn for me

Everytime one of these religious morons opens their mouth in this way I fear for an upsurge in homophobic attacks. Faith schools (funded by our taxes) are exempt (or at least the ones I have taught in appear to be as it was not on the schemes of work) from instructing students in LGBT issues in the Equality section of Citizenship or PSHE. I feel really sorry for any young person in a faith school who realises he/she is gay because there will be NO support

  10. Some charity shops- I know one for definite, give their volunteer staff a discount and first pick of stuff. Also there are people who get stuff from the charity shop and auction it off on sites. Nobody has a conscience these days since we all found out about the fat cats that run charities. You can find out what proportion of the charity money actually goes to the 'front line' -on the internet
  11. Hopefully she will pee off back to Nottingham...
  12. there is a navy blue skip lorry that has no distinguishing logo and it delivered at 0730....the actual skip had MJB written on the side but I could not find the company. They are obviously trying to elude the council. Could not see the vehicle registration unfortunately.
  13. How are the staff responsible for the childrens' behaviour? I was in the Science Museum recently and there was a child trying to dismantle the cut-away mini they have on show. One of the other viewers (female) said something to the child (old enough to know better) and the pathetic father had a go at the visitor in front of the child...what is going on? I bet the daddy wouldn't have said anything if it had been a male who spoke to his child.
  14. my teens had a loud party when we were away for a weekend. The neighbours called the cops at midnight and the cops attended and threatened to confiscate the stereo ....they shut the noise down...it was almost 20 years ago though

Same as everyone else really. Maybe they were doing a public service by alerting parents to the existence of such people as Mr LaPage down the hall...that's of course if their parents were into the band in the first place...
  16. Do you throw out your Gold teeth- do you see how they roll.....Steely Dan....I love them but I don't get that line

The first bit included 'I'm on my knees searching for the answer- are we human or are we dancer'....makes it even more stupid
  18. St Barnabas Parish Hall is in the Village. I liked living 'that side'....no satellite dishes, no ugly extensions on the houses- a much nicer appearance altogether (except for the revolting plantation blinds)
  19. Yes, thanks Loz, I fully intend to.
  20. And I've just been informed they are putting my tariff up ?3.99 as from 1st November.
  21. Fortunately I have never had my phone stolen. If you report the phone stolen doesn't your provider switch it off and then the crim has to go and get it 'unlocked' or something? If so, the creeps that unlock stolen phones should be shut down because they are creating the market by enabling the phones
  22. That does not look like a valid registration because of the '82'. The numbers started at '51' and we are currently on '17' i.e. April 2017. September last year was '66' https://www.autotrader.co.uk/content/advice/how-does-the-number-plate-system-work

  24. (I have mentioned this several times)- when the local council is of a different political persuasion than the government, then money will be diverted from the front line at every opportunity...you voted for them
  25. He also forgot- or obviously has no experience of- that racial prejudice-in the true sense of the word where one race believes it is superior to the other- also exists between Jamaicans and Trinidadians, Africans and Afro-Caribbeans and between different Asian groups, as well as racial prejudice from black people against whites.
