No- the UK needs its control back...we have been scuppered on industry, farming and fishing by the EU and that is probably why they let us in in the first place- to plunder. The EU is, in the main, an unelected bunch of useless very expensive gravy-train bureaucrats. Much of the money given to Eastern Europe has disappeared because of corruption - FACT As a born cynic I believe there is a hard core of politicians who are remainers because they are having a cushy time of it under the EU. We have NOT benefited as a country in the EU- individuals in cities, especially London, have benefited greatly- if you look at the voting map for the referendum you will see the areas that voted remain and they are all rich areas. The Sandbanks area of Poole in Dorset is noticeable. We will always have been ready. The EU was just prepared to be the thieving bunch of dictators and pirates that they always have been.

This world is in utter turmoil DUE to religion...any of which is about as true as fairies in the bottom of my garden- anyway the Norse stuff is much more fun The homophobia that goes on in the catholic 'faith' schools is anti-so-called -Christian imho and the poor old tax payer of the UK helps perpetuate the rubbish by having to fund it. I went to Sunday school for years but fortunately my day school had some decent intelligent teachers who actually went out of their way to help us youngsters realise that religion is a pile of crap invented by old men to get control and power (much like politics really but the threat of hell fire and all that clap trap added another dimension of fear- although the extreme left use fear about when the revolution comes!!)

Stabbing on Cheltenham road Sunday 6pm..

I don't know how widespread the ineptitude is but in my brush with the police and the CPS 7 years ago , the system was in complete chaos so it does not matter what efforts the police put in to bring criminals to book- the efforts are not followed through. We are now 22 years on from the killing of Philip Lawrence outside his school and the knife amnesty which followed and nothing has changed Arches should have been installed at school gates back then, mandatory sentences for possession introduced back then....now anything is too little too late- glossy pamphlets are a waste of time and money. Funny how ALL areas of the public sector think that the tax-payers' pockets are bottomless pits... -

I chose Alleyn's for my kids because it was the nearest school and I did not want them to get assaulted and robbed on the way back from other schools- where the pupils did not hesitate to attack one of my kids when he was in PRIMARY school. Also I wanted them to receive a good education, not one where the headteacher of a popular school at the time thought that it was a good thing to offer Turkish GCSE. That was way back in the late 1980s. Anyway the coaches were coming to Townley Road then as well but because of the massive explosion in house conversions, CPZs around the stations and general increase in traffic there were few complaints. If it wasn't for the Foundation the conservation area would look like as bad as ED

Some people will do what they want to do- they are selfish and have no manners. A friend returned to the UK after 20 years in Malaysia and said we have all sunk to the lowest common denominator and promptly went back there

As everything it does is POST AUTHORISATION it is a waste of money- anyway Life Sciences company MSD are investing in the UK now and QAIGEN are expanding in Manchester- that will equate to 1700 MORE jobs- I doubt if any of you remoaners will like them apples!

Judging by the increase in the smell of burning wood in ED over the last 10 years he will have a massive job enforcing a ban on burning wood. I don't fancy his chances. There are DEFRA approved woodburners with filters available which we are supposed to use in this smokeless zone and they would be a much better option than burning wood logs on an open fire- which is what people will do if they can't have a wood burner.... The Yule log tradition is upheld as it is followed by Druids and Pagans today http://www.bbc.co.uk/religion/religions/paganism/holydays/wintersolstice.shtml Druids are officially recognised today by the charity commission as a religion and so the Yule Log winter solstice tradition has to be allowed but is probably restricted to some time limit

when I had one opened up the installer put a smoking pellet in the grate to see if there was an updraft and he swept it and made sure the brickwork inside was sound since it hadn't been used for years. This area is a smokeless zone so you can only use smokeless fuel but if I remember correctly you are allowed a Yule log over the Xmas period.

As an example of EU bureaucratic nonsense the EMA excels. For example, the EMA has been useless in regulating the sale of antibiotics (the biggest threats to humankind are microorganisms) across the counter in most EU countries. My now deceased father and his wife regularly went to Spain and Cyprus and whilst there bought stocks of antibiotics 'just in case' for their return to England (ridiculous I know and I warned them of the dangers but they said their GP here would not prescribe them when my parents wanted them....) Also, looking at their website they seem to be concerned with post-authorisation admin and monitoring procedures- the development of drugs and medicines etc is done with extreme precision by the drug companies themselves and rigorous quality control therein anyway as well as rigorous q.c. of the constituents of drugs. As for the EBA- no surprise there since it is a regulatory body for the EU bloc banking and since we won't be in it.....

EDF fitted ours without a request for 'free' (yeah right) I hid it behind the tv because the red light was driving me nuts since I have been doing the 'energy conservation' thing since I left the parental home...

I don't like Thai but I used the Old El Paso chili packet, onion, a carton of tomato and red pepper from sainsburys and quorn mince to do a chili- don't like kidney beans. It was lovely and quick
