The 124 Lordship Lane eyesore
uncleglen replied to Ms Blueberry's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Quite right too. And they should have public liability insurance although that does not make up for a badly damaged limb if someone falls. (btw Abe I like the way you have correctly distinguished between 'there' and 'their' in the same sentence. -
It's been patently obvious from day 1 that all you people in your ED bubble have NO Idea what is going on in the poorer areas of the UK .....so I give up- you'll have to just suck it up when it comes.

No it's not healey- I know cat poo when I smell it!

Mind Charity Shop - temporarily closing

The large St Christopher's Hospice shop has changed its layout recently. -
Apparently Hammond has the backing of business leaders in this- of course he has- especially the ones that advertised in the EU before the UK with a view to keeping their labour costs well down- and they made up that little disclaimer- that EU workers would do the work that UK citizens wouldn't- what a load of tosh- they forgot to add 'at a fraction of the wages' because of course young East Europeans have no kids, no mortgages, and are happy to live in overcrowded conditions. The bureaucrats of the EU, if it is any sort of professional outfit, should have rules and regulations in place in case a country wished to leave (unless they have the arrogance to think that they are so great that no-one would want to leave). Any 'special' considerations given to EU citizens would have to be extended to everyone in the world- or there will be legal issues with that I shouldn't wonder. We have been severely exploited by the EU set-up- except of course the people who have made a mint, or saved a mint, one way or another. I personally would like to know how much money has been sent out of the UK over the years by these workers, and given that they use the NHS, school system, created a housing problem in cities etc -are they actually worth it, on balance?

(I've had enough now- it's 'their' baby 'their' fight....). I dearly hope someone has explained to the parents WHY their baby is so poorly and that they will receive help with conceiving a healthy child in the future. This genetic problem is apparently more common in the Faroe Islands

Haven't looked recently but my family have donated a few high-end pieces lately that we couldn't be bothered to eBay.... As a comparison the hospital bookshop at Frimley Park charges ?1 or ?1.50 for donated books depending on how thick the book is.

Just to correct you m (Unfortunately Jimmy Mizen was killed with a glass dish in a bakers shop- the lad that did it was stabbed in prison- a lad I taught when he was 13 and there were concerns raised about him in school at the time....)

Redevelopment plans for Aylesham Centre - 20 storeys high!
uncleglen replied to Blah Blah's topic in The Lounge
The trouble with shoe-horning in as many people in every square mile is that the infrastructure is always a couple of steps behind- schools, healthcare, transport, utilities...and then everybody's quality of life deteriorates...except the people who allow it to happen in the first place. I remember looking at a planning application at the town hall a few years back- a regular sized house was going to be turned into 3 flats...the developer was from Kensington -
Unfortunately, it is not only the helmet-less thief who is in danger if pursued but also pedestrians, as the thief would not baulk at mounting the pavement etc to get away.

I must disagree about the cat poo- they regularly poo on grass and it is disgusting to remove especially if it is a bit sloppy, and it stinks and kills the grass

Ha Ha- the motto is certainly apt!

The syndrome is one of those genetically inherited disorders where there is a 1 in 4 chance of a child inheriting it. So the mother and father are both carriers. Other examples are cystic fibrosis, sickle cell disease, Tay Sachs, types of muscular dystrophy etc etc The people who are sending death threats to the medical staff should be arrested.

The policy was then rolled out by Mrs T and is now extended to housing association tenants. http://www.politicsresources.net/area/uk/man/lab59.htm see the final line under the Housing paragraph

RH is always rude to me because 1) He extrapolates my posts to what HE THINKS is being said (and he accuses me of lying which I am not) 2) He knows I am right about the BBC and all the other lefty establishment shyte that gets 'trotted' (geddit?) out every time something happens - and he doesn't like people who do not agree with him

I cannot believe what they are paid. https://www.theguardian.com/media/2017/jun/13/tom-watson-urges-tories-to-reject-dup-plan-to-abolish-tv-licence-fee No surprise he wants the licence fee to carry on since the BBC are Labour's biggest propagandists.
